Desired Outcomes of the Dorset POPP:

Older People in Communities… …have housing suitable for individual needs …are socially integrated and not isolated …are making a positive contribution and experiencing fulfilment …feel secure and safe …feel free from discrimination …feel financially secure …are in good health in mind and body …have dignity, choice and control throughout their life

New Initiatives and development Access to Food and Nutrition (TSC Funded) Work with the individual needs of existing Meals on Wheels

recipients to identify appropriate opportunities for access to food and meals according to their need

Map existing lunch clubs and other communal eating opportunities

Develop new opportunities for access to food and meals by supporting emerging lunch clubs, opportunities through Day Centres, Schools, Pubs and Clubs etc.

Work with older people and local agencies to find solutions to identified needs.

Ensure the needs of excluded individuals and groups are identified and met as part of this process.

New Initiatives and development Volunteer Driver and Car Scheme (LAA Funded) Map existing community transport and volunteer driver/car

schemes Co-ordinate, develop and support new opportunities for

volunteer driver and car schemes to emerge in Dorset settlements.
