DUETTOKit for folding doors

The DUETTO kit is the AGB solution for folding doors.The main innovation of the AGB kit is the revolutionary ACTIVE-PASSIVE opening system.

The handles, besides their elegant design, combine high functionality which allows easy movement of the folding door.

The brass handles are available in the traditional 34 mm diameter version and in the special 48 mm diameter version. The latter is compatible with the Scivola and Scivola TT locks.

ACTIVE - PASSIVE SYSTEM

One handle is used just to move the door whilst it leaves the spindle on idle (passive system). The other handle operates the spindle as well (active system) and can be recognised by the little Allen screw used for mounting the handles.NB. ACTIVE - ACTIVE SYSTEM

The active-active system takes the standard concept of folding door and allows operating the follower by rotating the ring handles on both sides of the door.

The forend does not have any spring latch, bolt or hook and is completely smooth. The door is closed by means of a push rod mounted on a threaded bar with 30 mm travel which is operated by a 180° follower rotation.

Greater safety improved imageIn many countries the construction and upgrading of tourist accommodation and hotel structures are being subjected to increasingly severe fire and safety regulations. Moreover, user's concern about safety standards has grown.

Therefore, hotels and ins as well as residential buildings, apartment houses and any housing structure open to the public are being provided with doors featuring the necessary fire-resistant characteristics and equipped with a lock enabling instant manual release of the bolt from the inside to facilitate exit in case of an emergency.

Opera, the patented AGB panic exit lock, is the most versatile and innovative solution - from a technical as well as an aesthetic point of view - to the altered safety demands concerning new as well as existing buildings.

Easy and secure for guests, practical and intelligent for managersOpera security lock is very easy to use both in its basic version and the many sophisticated adaptations featuring different types of keys and various coded systems.

If guests, manager and service personnel have special keys, certain differentiated criteria can be established to access the rooms and to activate spring latch and bolt, selecting the most appropriate procedures. This characteristic is examined in detail in the following pages.

Instantly opened and closedFrom inside the room the guest throws the bolt by rotating the thumbturn. Simultaneously, on the outside, a pin projects from the cylinder to signal room occupation.

To exit, the guest simply lowers the handle, even thoughthe bolt is thrown. This single operation is sufficient toinstantly release both bolt and spring latch, ensuring rapid escape from the room in case of an emergency.

From inside the room, bolt and spring latch are instantly released by simply lowering thehandle for the immediate opening ofthe door.

Opera lock combines with patented Scudo Opera security cylinder.

The occupancy indicator is positioned on the cylinder. This allows the installation of any type of handle, with plate or escutcheon.

Apply any handleThe Opera lock allows you to customisehotel and residential doors using any typeof handle.In fact, the occupancy indicator is not located on the plate as in other locks but directly on the cylinder.This solution allows a free choice of handlestyle, material and colour.

A special key for every one The Scudo Opera cylinder, combined with Opera, is supplied with flat security keys. The common issue standard key is capable of executing all the required operations: unlocking of spring latch and locking/unlocking of bolt. However, in most cases special function keys are supplied: they fall into three categories and are distinguished by the different shape of the key-ring hole.

• "Management" master key, identified by the trapezoid key-ring hole. For spring latch and bolt actuation. The bearer, e.g. the hotel manager, can open the door if the room is either vacant or occupied. He can also throw the bolt whenever he needs to restrict access to the room. It can also be used as a customer key in case of multiple occupancy of room.

• "Service" master key, identified by the oval key-ring hole. For spring latch actuation only. Usually carried by service personnel, it allows access to the room only if the lock bolt is not thrown.

• Single "customer” key, identified by the round key-ring hole. For spring latch actuation only. The customer only uses it to access his room. In fact, to throw the bolt he rotates the thumbturn, whereas he simply operates the handle to exit.

Coded systems to suit every needThe hotel manager may wish to open all the doors using a single key, and restrict service personnel access to certain areas only, just like the owner of an inn may wish his customers to be able to open the main entrance door as well as their room door using the same key when the reception desk is closed. All this is made possible by the use of a coded system where the different key models described in the previous page can be applied to suit every need.

MK Master Key SystemEach cylinder is unlocked by its own key which cannot unlock any other cylinder of the system. All the cylinders can also be unlocked by the MK master key.This system is ideally suited, as an example, for rooms in a small hotel or public building.MK

CC Central Cylinder System

Each cylinder is unlocked by its own key which cannot unlock any other cylinder of the system. All the keys of the system can unlock the cylinder of the central lock. This system can be utilized, for instance, in inns or residential buildings without a reception desk.

The CC system can be combined either with the MK or the GMK systems.

GMK General Master Key System This is a master key system featuring multiple hierarchical levels where the cylinders are separated into several groups. Each cylinder is unlocked by its own key which cannot unlock any other cylinder of the system. Each homogeneous group of cylinders can also be unlocked by the group master key. All the cylinders of the system can be unlocked by the GMK general master key as well. This system can be utilized, for instance, in large hotels or in medium-large residential and public buildings.

Mediana Revolution upsets the concept of fi nish for locks and throws the doors open to designer’s creativity.

The lock becomes totally integrated with the door, uniting with its design.

Finish becomes an interchangeable accessory, adaptable to any requirement. Thanks to the ABS

forend, it is possible to personalise, enhance, eclipse, coordinate the lock with your own style and

taste, by applying any essence or fi nish.

A new concept of fi nish

The ABS forend, thanks to the practical snap-in

installation, allows to hide the screws for lock

mounted, the forend project just three tenths of

millimetre from the panel.

AGB, the only producer of both locks and hinges, has developed a range of accessories which offers the full reversibility

of the door and cuts the problem of the dead stock. Tipping of panel and frame in a few seconds, without additional

workings and without mistakes while assembling the components.

AGB offers fully customizable kits of door accessories, to meet the customer’s needs.

In the building site, it just takes the rotation of the hinge body of 180° in order to change the hand of the door.

In the manufacturer’s premises the male part of the hinge is fastened to the door panel, while the frame is pre-drilled. The female part can be affixed once the hand of the door is decided.

In the building site Twin is assembled and installed once the hand of the door

is decided. Throughout the installation process, the oval holes allow an accurate

vertical adjustment of the door leaf. At the end of the operations the third screw

fastens the hinge.

Mediana Revolution consente di razionalizzare il magazzino del produttore

di porte grazie ad una gestione separata di serratura e finiture.

L’installatore può finalmente applicare la finitura della serratura direttamente

in cantiere con un rapido innesto a scatto al termine di tutte le operazioni di

montaggio e collaudo della porta. La serratura è perfettamente funzionante

anche senza il frontalino, quindi consente la scelta della finitura anche a

distanza di mesi dall’installazione.

La profilatura del pannello è identica per le tre serrature

Mediana, garantendone l’intercambiabilità.

Reversibilità senza pari

AGB, unica produttrice sia di serrature che di cerniere, ha studiato una gamma di accessori per porte che garantiscono

la completa reversibilità del serramento ed eliminano il problema delle scorte di magazzino. Il ribaltamento di anta e

telaio avviene in pochi secondi, senza ulteriori lavorazioni e senza possibilità di errore nel montaggio dei componenti.

AGB offre soluzioni di accessori a corredo della porta complete e personalizzabili, per rispondere alle esigenze del

singolo serramentista.

In cantiere basta ruotare il corpo cerniera di 180° per cambiare il verso della porta.

Il fissaggio della parte femmina al telaio

In produzione la parte maschio della cerniera viene fissata all’anta, mentre il telaio viene preforato. La parte femmina può essere fissata in cantiere dopo aver deciso il verso della porta.

In fase di installazione, i fori vite ad asola permettono una precisa regolazione in

Fast and accurate installation

After the installation of the lock and the throw of the hook, by softly pushing the door against the jamb it is possible to centre the striker.

and precisely...SCIVOLA T transmits a pleasant sensation of smoothness by moving the handle and the key, thanks to a great precision in the mechanical coupling and the smooth internal kinematics.

The striker installation has never been so simple: it just takes a milling of ø 25 mm and a drill. Jigs are not required.

Thanks to the special shape, the covering tray is simply and precisely positioned onto the milling.

Closes, always!The special movement of the hook and the considerable coupling tolerance with the stiker, make the door always close, even facing vertical settlements after the installation (up to 3 mm) and side shiftings up to 7 mm.

Available in the wide range of AGB fi nishes.

The lock is perfectly compatible with the millings made for SCIVOLA and SCIVOLA TT.

In less than 1 minute it is possible to mount the striker reaching a valuable aesthetic result.

The patented head of the hook distinguishes for being sharpened. It works as a jig for marking the centre of the milling on the jamb for the striker housing.
