1. Type or print using BLACK ink, and use additional sheets of paper where necessary to
include all information.
2. On p. 2 of the application, place an “X” by all of the scholarships for which you are qualified
(scholarship requirements located on pages 5 & 6). All awards are up to $1,000, except the Mosser
Construction scholarships that vary and the Robert H. Moyer Scholarship that is up to $2,000.
3. Complete ALL sections of this application. Write N/A if the question does not apply. Appearance and
completeness will be considered during evaluation. (Please note that there is a point-system that is
followed when selecting scholarship recipients. If a section is left blank, the applicant receives zero
points for that section.)

AGC of Ohio is a commercial construction trade association governed and
directed by contractors. The association has been in existence for more than
30 years, and its membership is comprised of the top general contractors in
the Ohio area—in addition to quality subcontractors and suppliers.
Additional criteria: Permanent residence is located in Ohio or an adjacent
county.
AGC OF NORTHWEST OHIO SCHOLARSHIP (One award)
AGC of Northwest Ohio is a commercial trade organization governed and di-
rected by contractors. The association has been in existence for more than 75
years, and its membership is comprised of the top general contractors in the
Northwest Ohio area—in addition to quality subcontractors and suppliers.
Additional criteria: Applicant must be from the Northwest Ohio area AND/OR a
child/stepchild of an employee or an employee of a union company belonging
to one of the associations affiliated with the AGC of Northwest Ohio: Associat-
ed Door Contractors of Northwestern Ohio; Toledo Area Flexible Paving Con-
tractors; Glass & Glazing Employers Assn of Toledo; Mason Contractors Assn
of Toledo; Master Insulators Assn of Toledo; Sheet Metal Contractors Assn of
Northwestern Ohio; Tile & Terrazzo Contractors; Toledo Area Carpenters Em-
ployers Assn.; Toledo Area Roofing Contractors Assn; Toledo Chapter, and
Painting & Decorating Contractors. An employee is someone who has worked

AGC OF NORTHWEST OHIO
ROBERT H. MOYER SCHOLARSHIP (One award)
In 2006, AGC of N.W. Ohio funded a second scholarship in honor of Robert H.
Moyer in appreciation of his continued dedication to the construction industry
and in honor of his Pinnacle Award for Lifetime Achievement.
Additional criteria: Applicant must be from the Northwest Ohio area and an
engineering student planning to pursue a career in construction.
THE TIMOTHY P. GALVIN SCHOLARSHIP (One award)
Tim Galvin started working in engineering and construction related careers in
1973. Having had the opportunity to build several companies over those
years, and being blessed with great personal and professional growth, he and
his wife Tess determined it was time to give back to the industry from which
they have gained so much.
Additional Criteria: Students must attend either The Ohio State University or
Columbus State Community College.
WEST CENTRAL OHIO AGC SCHOLARSHIP (One award )
West Central Ohio AGC is a commercial trade organization governed and
directed by contractors. The association has been in existence for more than
50 years, and its membership is comprised of the top general contractors in
the West Central Ohio area—in addition to quality subcontractors and suppli-
ers. West Central Ohio AGC upholds the National AGC principles of skill, re-
sponsibility and integrity.
Additional criteria: Must be from the West Central Ohio area AND/OR a child/
stepchild of an employee or an employee of a West Central Ohio AGC mem-
ber company. Applicants are considered from the West Central Ohio area if
his/her permanent address is located in one of the following counties: Allen,
Auglaize, Mercer, Logan, Shelby, Champaign, Darke, Miami, Clark, Greene,
Montgomery, Preble, Clinton, Highland, Butler and Warren.
THE LIBERTY SCHOLARSHIP (One award)
Liberty Construction Services, a member of Central Ohio AGC, is a full service
general contractor founded in 2003. Through God’s blessings and quick and
reliable service. Liberty is able to offer this scholarship to eligible students
studying construction and construction related curriculum.
Additional criteria: Full-time students must utilize the award at the Columbus
State Community College, the University of Cincinnati or The Ohio State Uni-
versity. Students should demonstrate skill, responsibility and integrity—the
building blocks of success.
PRECISION ENVIRONMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP (One award)
Precision Environmental Co., a DiGeronimo company, is a recognized indus-
try leader in asbestos abatement, environmental remediation, selective
demolition, floor and surface preparation all of which require highly special-
ized engineering and environmental expertise. Precision Environmental has
earned a solid reputation for outstanding client service.
Additional criteria: Must be a resident of northeastern Ohio and attending a
college in Ohio.
TUTTLE CONSTRUCTION, INC.
TINY RAUCH SCHOLARSHIP (One award)
Originating in 1928, Tuttle Construction has built a strong reputation
throughout the region by consistently exceeding customers’ expectations.
Tuttle offers a wide range of construction services for the industrial,
institutional, and commercial markets. Tuttle is driven to provide successful
projects that include value-added intangibles, which foster long-term
relationships.
Additional criteria: Permanent residence located in Ohio or an adjacent
county.
CENTRAL OHIO AGC SCHOLARSHIP; J.D. FLAHERTY, JR.
CONSTRUCTION SYSTEMS, INC. SCHOLARSHIP (Two awards)
Established in 1956, Central Ohio AGC is one of the seven operating divi-
sions of AGC of Ohio. Its members—the top general contractors, subcon-
tractors and service providers in the Central Ohio area—embody the Associ-
ated General Contractors’ principles of skill, responsibility and integrity. In
October 2002, Central Ohio AGC Board of Trustees renamed one of its
scholarships in honor of J.D. Flaherty, Jr. for founding the scholarship pro-
gram and securing the initial funding.
Additional criteria: Permanent address must be located in one of the coun-
ties within the Central Ohio AGC territorial jurisdiction: Franklin, Madison,
Logan, Union, Hardin, Marion, Delaware, Morrow, Knox, Licking, Musk-
ingum, Perry, Fairfield, Pickaway, Champaign, Fayette, Ross, Gallia, Meigs,
Hocking, Vinton, Jackson, Lawrence, Guernsey, Morgan, Noble, Washington,
Athens and Monroe.
SHOOK CONSTRUCTION, HARRY F. GAEKE
MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (One award)
Since its incorporation in 1926, Shook has built a reputation based on
performance in the construction industry providing General Contracting,
Construction Management and Design-Build services on a variety of envi-
ronmental, institutional, commercial, communication and industrial pro-
jects. With offices in Dayton, Indianapolis, Columbus, Cleveland and
Raleigh NC. Shook’s mission is: To profitably serve our clients’ construction
needs while maintaining our reputation for quality, integrity and employee
satisfaction.
Additional criteria: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen residing or attending
school in the geographic areas within which Shook Construction works,
INDEPENDENCE EXCAVATING,
A DIGERONIMO COMPANY SCHOLARSHIP (One award)
Independence Excavating is a recognized industry leader in excavation and
site development, concrete, and heavy demolition, and is one of Cleveland,
Ohio's premier and diversified construction companies. Founded in 1956
by the DiGeronimo family, Independence Excavating has earned a solid
reputation for honesty, integrity and outstanding performance. The compa-
ny specializes in excavation; site development; soil stabilization; sheeting,
shoring and erosion protection; drainage and sewer construction; heavy
highway and industrial; concrete recycling and crushing; fabricating; demo-
lition; and environmental services.
Additional criteria: Eligible applicants must be enrolled in and/or attending
an OH, PA, or WV college.

AGC OF AKRON OHIO, CARMEN SCACCIO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (One award)
The AGC of Akron is a commercial construction trade association governed and operated by contractors. The association has been in existence for more than 70 years and its members are comprised of the finest general contrac-tors and suppliers in the Akron/Canton area. AGC of Akron is a full service division of the AGC of Ohio that focuses on strengthening the local communi-ty. Carmen Scaccio embodied the values the association believes are the cornerstone of business and community-family, honor and dedication. In recognition of his years of service to promoting our local construction indus-try, AGC of Ohio, Akron division has established a scholarship in his name. The hope is to award a candidate who possesses the same civic-mindedness and dedication to construction with the opportunity to not only fund their education, but to also positively influence the community around them. Additional Criteria: Applicant must be from the Northeast Ohio area, a Univer-sity of Akron Construction Technology or Kent State University Construction Management student, and/or a child/stepchild of an employee or an employ-ee of an AGC of Akron member. Applicants are considered from the Northeast Ohio area if their permanent resident is located within Northeast Ohio.
THE TIM EVANS SCHOLARSHIP, FROM THE KNOCH CORP. (One award)
The Knoch Corporation is one of Canton, Ohio’s most prominent general con-tractors. Knoch has been serving Stark and surrounding counties since 1947, and has gained a reputation for excellence among its clients and community. In an effort to give back to that community, Knoch established the Tim Evans Scholarship, in honor of one of Knoch’s longest serving employees. Tim has been with The Knoch Corporation for 27 years. Tim was diagnosed with amyo-trophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Since his diagnosis, he has remained an integral part of the Knoch team and continually demonstrates the integrity and character that most strive to achieve. Tim’s knowledge, determination, and quick wit make him a truly exceptional individu-al, and he represents what The Knoch Corporation looks for in its employees. Additional Criteria: Applicants should be from either Portage, Medina, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas, or Wayne counties and have a concentration in a con-struction/engineering/architecture related degree. Applicants who themselves and/or an immediate family member have been diagnosed with a neuromuscu-lar disease will receive additional points during the grading process.
MOSSER CONSTRUCTION, INC. SCHOLARSHIPS
Mosser Construction, Inc., in celebration of its 50th anniversary, founded in 1998 scholarships to recognize students exhibiting leadership attributes in construction-related studies. Mosser donated money to create an endowment fund at colleges in the Northwest Ohio area to sponsor scholarships in Mosser’s name. Additional criteria: Students must be enrolled in University of Toledo or Owens Community College (Toledo campus) in fall of 2017. At least one award will be given to an eligible student from each school. Bowling Green State University and Terra State Community College students should apply for the Mosser Scholarship through the college or university.
CLEVELAND AGC SCHOLARSHIP (One award)
AGC Cleveland is committed to leading, learning and making a difference in the Ohio construction industry. We serve as an umbrella for fourteen (14) affiliated construction trade associations, providing labor relations, education and advo-cacy for nearly 600 contractors. Additional Criteria: Students must have a permanent residence in one of the following counties: Cuyahoga, Portage, Lake, Summit, Medina, Lorain, Erie, Huron or Sandusky; and must be pursuing a construction-related degree in the following: Construction Management, Engineering , Business, Accounting. Stu-dents that have participated in the ACE Mentoring Program will receive addi-tional points during the selection process (Please note in activities on page 2).
SETTLE MUTER ELECTRIC WILLIAM L.. MUTER SCHOLARSHIP (One award)
SME believes in personal growth and advancement, and to support these endeavors SME has set up a scholarship in the name of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer William L. Muter for students pursuing a degree in electrical or construction related fields. Bill’s commitment to professional development at SME is evident in his voluntary role as the company’s Director of Education and Apprenticeship Training. Bill is widely regarded for his business acumen and is often recognized by his peers. The William L. Muter Scholarship will be awarded to a student that demon-strates commitment and will have a potential impact in the field of con-struction. He continues to provide invaluable mentoring services to the management professionals at SME and to his peers/colleagues across the industry. Additional Criteria: Students must be from the Central Ohio area and at-tend either The Ohio State University or Columbus State Community Col-lege.
RUDOLPH LIBBE GROUP GARY HAAS & FRITZ RUDOLPH
HONORARY SCHOLARSHIP (One award)
Gary Haas, vice president of contracts administration, retired in 2012 after a 43-year career at Rudolph/Libbe Inc. Fritz Rudolph, who passed away in 2009, founded Rudolph/Libbe Inc. in 1955 with his brother, Phil Rudolph, and cousin, Allan Libbe. Additional Criteria: Bowling Green State University students majoring in construction management or architecture with plans to pursue a career in construction. Bonus points are provided to students who have demonstrat-ed service to their community.
RUDOLPH LIBBE GROUP GARY HAAS HONORARY SCHOLARSHIP (One award)
Gary Haas retired in 2012 after a 43-year career at Rudolph/Libbe. Gary started running errands at Rudolph/Libbe at age 16, only leaving the com-pany to earn a degree in business administration at BGSU on a full baseball scholarship. After college, he returned to Rudolph/Libbe to work in account-ing, project management and field operations before being named vice president of contracts administration. A past president of AGC of Ohio, Gary is known for his commitment, determination, hard work and leadership. Additional Criteria: Bowling Green State University or University of Toledo students majoring in construction, architecture or engineering with plans to pursue a career in construction. Bonus points are provided to students who have demonstrated service to their community

An Icon of the construction industry in Cincinnati and throughout Ohio, E. Grant Hesser was highly respected. Hesser made many contributions to not only the construction industry but also the communities in which he lived. A few of his contributions include: Founder and past president of the Ameri-can Council of Construction Education and the Associated General Contrac-tors of Ohio chapter; past president of the Allied Construction Industries in Cincinnati and the American institute of Constructors; Life Directory of the Associated General Contractors of America; and honored with the Spirit of Construction Award for his years of service to the industry in 2010. Additional Criteria: Permanent residence located in Ohio.
