Installation Instructions: Work Safe, READ THIS! ATTENTION: FAILURE TO READ AND COMPLY WITH ALL WARNINGS, CAUTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO STARTING INSTALLATION MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE AND VOID WARRANTY. STOP/READ: This device must be installed in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. This unit must be in accordance with all applicable local plumbing, drainage and electrical codes. WARNING: Remove electrical shock hazard – DISCONNECT THE POWER BEFORE INSTALLING THE AQUAGUARD AG- 3150E to avoid electrical shock and/or equipment damage. Do not use on circuits exceeding 24 volts to avoid damage to switch, shock or fire hazard. CAUTION: In some situations the switch may cause the unit to rapidly cycle on and off as water level rises slowly in pan. After a brief period the unit will turn off completely. Condensation drain must be serviced if this occurs. CAUTION: In any installation where property damage and/or personal injury might result from an inoperative switch due to power outages, a back-up system(s) and /or alarm should be installed. NOTICE: The AquaGuard AG-3150E must only be installed by a licensed contractor or under the direct supervision of same. Condensation pan must be properly maintained after installation and be kept free of foreign matter, rust or other obstructions that might interfere with the proper operation of the AquaGuard AG-3150 E switch. WIRING THE AG-3150E: (To ensure proper performance of product, instructions must be followed.)

1. Ensure the power is disconnected to the unit at the main panel prior to moving to step 2. Refer to the appliance manufacturer’s installation and operating instructions and also review the wiring diagram in their instructions. 2. Locate the red wire coming from the 24 volt thermostat “R” terminal. 3. Disconnect red wire from the “R” terminal. Connect to one red switch lead using wire nut. Connect the second red switch lead to “R” terminal of unit. Incorporating

both switch wires in the red circuit will shut the unit completely off when water is present. 4. Connect the black switch lead to the “C” terminal. 5. Test the switch. (At start-up check initial amperage load.)

A. Using two fingers simultaneously touch the two metal contacts at the end of the switch. (fig. 2) Unit should stop running if switch is correctly wired.

INSTALLATION OF SENSOR AND SWITCH: (To ensure proper performance of product, instructions must be followed.)

1. Using the double-sided tape provided with the switch, affix the control box to the side of the unit near the primary drain port. Note: Wrap excess wire around the wire management cleat. (fig.1)

2. Couple the sensor to the switch using the one-way connector. (fig. 2) 3. Test the sensor using one of the following methods:

A. Using two fingers simultaneously touch the ring shaped contact and the end of the sensor (fig. 3) Unit should stop running if switch is correctly wired. B. Place the probe in water. Note: Do not submerge past the threads on the sensor. Unit should stop running if switch is correctly wired.

4. After testing the sensor, uncouple the one way connector to facilitate installation of the sensor. 5. Thread the sensor into an available primary drain outlet. Ensure the sensor is above the dam. 6. Re-couple the one way connector. System should now be operational. 7. Place the ATTENTION sticker on unit in a clearly visible location. (fig. 4)

Switch Limited Warranty and Limitation of Liability The limitations of liability set forth below include body and all component parts as well as the product itself as a whole. VENUE: Any purchaser or third party actions brought for any reason hereunder shall be commenced in Manatee County and no other jurisdiction, and such action shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any notice herein shall be sent to Resource Conservation Technologies, Inc., by certified or registered mail at 3711 Cortez Road W, Suite 300, Bradenton, FL 34210. Resource Conservation Technologies (“RCT”) warrants to the original consumer purchaser (“Purchaser”) of its AquaGuard Products, that they are free from defects in material or workmanship. If within the listed coverage period (see below) this product shall prove to be defective, it shall be repaired or replaced at RCT’s option, subject to the terms and conditions set forth below. Your original receipt of purchase is required to determine warranty eligibility. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Purchaser must pay all labor and shipping charges necessary to replace product covered by this warranty. This warranty shall not apply to acts of God, nor shall it apply to products which, in the sole judgment of RCT have been subject to negligence, abuse, accident, tampering, misapplication, alteration; nor due to improper installation, operation or maintenance or storage; nor to other than normal application, use or service, including but not limited to, operational failures caused by corrosion, rust or other foreign materials in the system. Requests for service under this warranty shall be made by returning the defective product to the Retail outlet or to RCT as soon as possible after the discovery of any alleged defect. RCT will subsequently take corrective action as promptly as reasonably possible. This warranty sets forth RCT’s sole obligation and purchaser’s exclusive remedy for defective products. In all circumstances, RCT’s maximum liability shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid for the product alone. Warranty claims must be registered with RCT within thirty (30) days of damage or malfunction. RCT reserves the right to visit the site of the installation or to require documentation of the claim before assuming any responsibility under the provisions of this Warranty. Consumer agrees to inspect the product at the time of installation for any reasonable discernable defects and, further, agrees to inspect the product annually. Any damages occurring, which could have been avoided by proper inspection will not be the responsibility of RCT. RCT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONTINGENT DAMAGES WHATSOEVER TO THE PURCHASER OR ANY THIRD PARTY. THE FOREGOING WARRANTIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL EXPRESS WARRANTIES. IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL NOT EXTEND BEYOND THE DURATION OF THE APPLICABLE EXPRESS WARRANTIES PROVIDED HEREIN. Some states do not allow the exclusion of limitation of incidental and consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. CUIDADO: En toda instalación donde podrían ocurrir daños materiales y/o heridas personales debido a un interruptor que deje de funcionar por cortes de energía, deberá instalarse un sistema de respaldo y/o una alarma. AVISO: El AquaGuard AG-3150E debe ser instalado únicamente por un contratista certificado o bajo la supervisión directa del mismo. La bandeja de condensación debe mantenerse correctamente después de la instalación y debe estar libre de materiales extraños, óxido u otras obstrucciones que podrían interferir con el funcionamiento correcto del interruptor AquaGuard AG-3150E. CABLEADO DEL AG-3150E: (Para asegurar el rendimiento correcto del producto, debe seguir estas instrucciones).

1. Verifique que la alimentación de la unidad esté desconectada en el panel principal antes de proseguir al paso 2. Refiérase a las instrucciones de instalación y operación del artefacto suministradas por el fabricante y también repase el diagrama de cableado de esas instrucciones. 2. Ubique el cable rojo que viene del terminal “R” del termostato de 24 voltios. 3. Desconecte el cable rojo del terminal “R”. Conéctelo a un cable rojo del interruptor usando un empalme plástico. Conecte el segundo cable rojo al terminal “R” de la

unidad. El incorporar ambos cables del interruptor en el circuito rojo apagará completamente la unidad cuando haya agua presente. 4. Conecte el cable negro del interruptor al terminal “C”. 5. Pruebe el interruptor. (Verifique la carga de corriente en la prueba de encendido inicial).

A. Toque simultáneamente con dos dedos los dos contactos metálicos al final del interruptor. (fig. 1) La unidad debe dejar de funcionar si el interruptor está cableado correctamente.

INSTALACIÓN DEL SENSOR Y EL INTERRUPTOR: (Para asegurar el rendimiento correcto del producto, debe seguir estas instrucciones).

1. Usando la cinta adhesiva de doble faz incluida con la llave, fije la caja de control al costado de la unidad cerca del punto principal de drenaje. Nota: Enrolle el exceso de cable alrededor de la abrazadera para cable. (Fig. 1)

2. Conecte el sensor al interruptor usando el conector polarizado. (Fig. 2) 3. Pruebe el sensor usando uno de los siguientes métodos:

A. Toque el caño de cobre conectado a la unidad con la punta del sensor. La unidad debe dejar de funcionar si está conectada a tierra. Si la unidad no está conectada a tierra, use uno de los siguientes métodos B. Toque con dos dedos simultáneamente el contacto en anillo y la punta del sensor (Fig. 3). La unidad debe dejar de funcionar si el interruptor está cableado

correctamente. C. Coloque el sensor en agua. Nota: No lo sumerja más allá de la rosca. La unidad debe dejar de funcionar si el interruptor está cableado correctamente.

4. Luego de probar el sensor, desenchufe el conector polarizado para facilitar la instalación del sensor. 5. Enrosque el sensor en una de las salidas disponibles de la bandeja primaria de drenaje. Verifique que el sensor quede por encima de la represa. 6. Vuelva a enchufar el conector polarizado. El sistema debería estar en condiciones de funcionar. 7. Coloque la etiqueta de ATENCIÓN en la unidad, en un lugar claramente visible. (Fig. 4)

RCT tomará las acciones correctivas correspondientes lo antes posible. Esta garantía establece toda la obligación de RCT y la única solución para el comprador con respecto a productos defectuosos. En todos los casos, la responsabilidad máxima de RCT no excederá el precio real de compra que se haya pagado por el producto. Los reclamos por garantía deberán ser recibidos por RCT dentro de los treinta (30) días del daño o la falla. RCT se reserva el derecho de visitar el lugar de la instalación o de requerir documentación acerca del reclamo antes de asumir cualquier responsabilidad bajo las condiciones de esta garantía.
