Remember to include words starting with the short ‘i’ sound like itchy, insect and words with the long ‘i’ sound like ice cream, and icicle. - Loud and soft counting. Change your voice from loud to soft for each number when counting. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 - Count up to 30. - Count down from 20 Optional activities: - What is something that you used to find difficult but now you can do it more easily? Draw pictures of when you couldn’t do it and how you felt when you got better at it! -Hide a special toy, treat or item somewhere in your house or garden. Draw a detailed treasure map and see if someone else can find your treasure! Try changing a letter in the word to make a new word e.g. pat to bat. You might even do a colour pattern when you write the numbers such as blue, green, yellow, blue, green, yellow. Optional activities: - Pretend you are the owner of a new restaurant! Design a menu with the food items you will sell and make a poster telling people why they should eat at YOUR restaurant! -Use some toys like lego, playdough or blocks to make some pretend food.

English Phonics: Complete the CCVC and CVCC detectives worksheet attached by reading the CCVC and CVCC words, finding them and colouring them in.

Mathematics *Priority* Number: How many ways can you make the number 10? You can add 2 numbers together for example 5 and 5 or more number together for example 4 and 1 and 2 and 3. Maths: Data Predict which shape is shown the most in the picture and the least. Using the worksheet, sort and colour the different shapes. Using the worksheet, tally and count how many of each shape in the tally graph. Using the worksheet, draw a picture graph based on the information in your tally. Make sure the pictures are evenly drawn. Talk to a family member and answer: -Which shape was seen the most? How do you know? -Which shape did you see the least of? Sport Dribbling With a ball, you are going to learn how to dribble and control a ball with your feet. Start by dribbling between your feet while standing still Try to dribble while walking using different feet. Mathematics *Priority* Number: Complete some of the assigned number tasks on study ladder for 20-30 minutes at www.studyladder.com.au Math-Data: Collect 15 different objects around the house (for example, lollies, toys, fruit, etc). Sort the objects into different colours (maximum of 6 different colours). Using the worksheet, tally and count how many objects in each colour. Using the worksheet, draw a column graph based on the information in your tally by colouring a square for each tally. Talk to a family member what you found: -Which colour do you have the most of? How do you know? -Which colour do have the least of? How do you know? -Were there any colours that had the same amount? Which ones? -What is the difference between most and least? Science Collect similar objects used in last weeks lesson (for example, paper, cotton wool, foil, straws, bottle tops, string, cardboard, Glad wrap, feathers, pipe cleaner etc.). These materials could be used for future lessons as well. Using the worksheet ‘Sorting Hat’ or using the Seesaw activity, sort the objects into two groups based on a description (for example; materials that are soft). All the materials that fit that description goes into the picture and ones that don’t are left on the side. Repeat a few more times with different descriptions for example shiny, fluffy, bendy, stiff, stretchy, bumpy, smooth, hard, soft, dull, pointy, squishy, clear, heavy, light etc.
