Why do we need senior CRSs?

General agreement amongst staff that seniors are not prepared for the academic and social challenges of college.

Many seniors are communicating a heightened level of anxiety for moving away/ going to college.

Senior class as a whole has seen a decrease in academic achievement and an increase in behavioral issues as compared to previous semesters.

What does this mean?Developing, implementing and tracking SCRSs

for March-May.

Three month focus on the skills you feel are best suited to your classroom and teaching style.

Consistent Tracking system across all senior classrooms.

Time dedicated in every class to incorporate/focus on SCRSs.

How Much Time Do I need To Dedicate in Each Class?Approximately 15 minutes a class dedicated to

assessing and/or reflecting on the SCRSs.

Ideally, SCRSs would be incorporated smoothly into your current curriculum.

The goal is to highlight these skills to the student so they are able to reflect on their mastery of these skills.
