AFRICAN ART CULTUREPresentation time! I’m ready. I hope you are.

Details of my interesting job selling African art.

My name is Marquise W.M., and I'll be your guide today.

Beginning a new study

Today I’ll be giving you an insight into what I’ve been up to during the time allottedwith this project. On the left is just one of many beautiful works of African art. When I asked how much said chair was worth, my uncle said 7k at least. Well spentyeah? Anyway, without further ado, let’s get into it!

Kings chair, est ???

This is what really got my interested in African Art. That there issolid gold, and sculpted so creatively. I was really bought to this type of art because it originated from Tribal Art. Which most see as just those arrows that people get tattooed on themselves. It’s so much deeper than meets the eye. It’s like a story plot behind almost every type of Tribal/African Art piece you see.

Name unknown, established ???

During my time working in this interesting field, I was working with my Uncle Otis who is self employed. He himself buys and sells this art. He took me to a few different states (CT, NY, NJ) I mean this field is really fast! One day he’s in PA, next day he’ll be well on his was to a new state. I wouldn’t say that this was the easiest project, because sometimes it was hard to get in touch with him.

Here’s the gang. My uncle, his wife (French-African) and they’re very loving.

Well, this is the end of my tour, and so begins my reflection. This was honestly a very fun and exciting career to pursue. I can see myself sculpting after I get my masters in Illustration, and I certainly will be working with him again. Thanks for listening, and I will make sure to keep my head in the game!
