African American Cemeteries Relocated to White Pond CemeteryAccording to The Cemeteries of the Savannah River Plant Site: An Inventory of Relocated and Remnants Cemeteries, the following cemeteries were moved from the Savannah River Plant site in the 1950s to be relocated in the White Pond Cemetery. Text in red indicates information from tombstones I have located & photographed.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The markers I have photographed are located at Fair Branch Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.The following 9 cemeteries were moved as part of Group 1 to New White Pond Cemetery which is located (1) mile NE of White Pond RR Crossing.

During the disinterment operation another section of the cemetery was located and determined to be African-American. This section was relocated to White Pond Cemetery.-------------------------------The following three have markers at Fair Branch now, but are listed in relocation book as being in Joyce Branch Cemetery which was moved to Williston. Joyce Branch is listed as a white active cemetery. I think that the Oneal(s) information was placed in wrong cemetery.
