AFFECTED S/N:

Matrix IC7 units produced May 2015 - September 2015 (SN ending in 15E-15I).

SYMPTOM: Squeaking noise coming from the left/rear side of the bike when pedaling under load

(>50% resistance). The squeaking may not start until the bike has been in use for a few hours.

REASON: Due to an assembly problem, the poly V belt on the secondary idler is not at the

correct tension or the alignment with the pulley may be incorrect causing the belt to track incorrectly.

SOLUTION: Retrofit 1 - 2 spacer disks on the left side of the axel flywheel to adjust belt tracking

and tension the secondary belt to specification.

Shroud disassembly

Remove shroud on the left side of the bike.

Visit our education portal for details.

http://www.teamicg.com/en/team-icg/education

Warning!

Once the shroud is removed from the bike, take care not to touch

any moving parts! Wait until the Flywheel and any other part of the

drive train have come to a complete stop before working on any

part of the bike to prevent serious injury!

Remove the left shroud.

Turn the pedals in the forward direction for a few rotations and once

the flywheel has come to a complete stop, measure the distance

between the edge of the idler and the belt.

Turn the cranks backwards multiple times and once the flywheel is at

a complete stop, measure the distance between the edge of the idler

and the belt.

The belt may move during the backwards rotation and if the difference

is greater than 1.5 mm (0.06“) please proceed to the next steps. If the

difference is less than 1.5 mm and a squeeking noise is coming from

bike, please contact ICG Service.

Before reassembling the shroud, measure how much the belt moves on

the idler by repeating steps 2 & 3.

Installation of 1 spacer should have decreased the amount of movement

of the belt on the idler to 1.5 mm or less.

If the belt movement isn’t less than 1.5 mm, a 2nd spacer must be

installed.

Test ride the bike at >50% resistance making sure the bike isn’t making

any noise. If the bike is still squeaking, contact ICG service.

Assemble the shroud.
