S trolling along Shaughnessy’s tree-lined walkways, it’s not hard to imagine a time when homes were built to be exceptional. The neighbourhood still bears its historical

L ocated on the lower level, the wine cellar plays a starring role in hosting and entertaining at The Mayfair. Approaching the cellar, the Indiana limestone arch and

quoining combine with rustic brick and glass to fashion an impressive façade. Pulling the hand-forged “Grapevine” handle and stepping through the glass door, the fabulous “sputnik” chandelier comes into view, as well as imported mini-tiling in the arched ceiling, and a tasting table near the art alcove.

And while artistry is important, this cellar reserves its finest details for the wine itself. Masterful millwork provides organized storage for hundreds of bottles, and the pea gravel flooring is a safe landing spot for any vintage that slips its owner’s grasp. Topping it off is the advanced temperature and humidity control system, which maintains the perfect climate for each vintage until the time is right.

based on the logo and colour scheme, to be

utilized across all forms of marketing collateral.

THE MAYFAIR: I developed the website

using a cutting edge responsive theme to ensure

the website and all of its content would be fully-

accessible on all types of devices, including

desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones. The

website offers the most comprehensive resource

for potential buyers to learn about The Mayfair.

ORIGIN FINANCIAL: I populated all

content in a wordpress theme created for

this project. I styled and added new sections

based on the theme. I also trained client staff

on using the interafce of wordpress for adding

new content. Using Wordpress “Network

Admin” I also created child sites for brokers.
