Aerospace Start-ups
Victor Rijkaart, Business Coach at Aerospace Engineering TU Delft
My start-up idea to enable the
full potential of aspiring
entrepreneurs with innovative
high-tech ideas.
Often “techies” tend to use the
technology-push method,
without taking in mind the voice
of the customer. Bridging this
gap gives me great energy!
Victor brings hands-on project-
and line-management in
aerospace industry. He has
worked on industrialisation of
A380 and A400M aircraft,
executed many lean six sigma
projects and set-up innovation
management in space-
industries. “The only constant is
change!”
Let’s face it, what’s not to like in
aerospace industry? High-tech,
innovation, the magic of flight
and conquering gravity. Doesn’t
get more awesome then that in
my opinion. The sector offers
great challenges, don’t hesitate
to contact me when building
bridges between exploitation
and exploration is required!
Victor has >17
years of expe-
rience in inter-
national aero-
space industry.
He is the start-
up voucher
business coach
for the AE
Amber Van Hauwermeiren & Ruben Geutjens
Inspired by nature, structured
coatings are printed with high-
performance materials. They
can both reduce drag and clean
themselves, just like shark skin.
Aircraft have to become more
sustainable. Surfaces are not
being used to their full potential.
This is where qlayers comes in.
We are currently looking for a
client that can co-develop our
coating in a pilot project. Let’s
make flying cleaner and more
cost- effective!
Amber Ruben
Coatings are applied for
protection and color. But they
can do so much more! At
qlayers, we convert passive
surfaces into a massive
opportunity.

Our start-up aims at boosting
greenhouse productivity by
introducing a UAS which will
scout and monitor stress levels
of plants as well as climate
conditions.
We add diversity in application
of aerospace technology.
We are looking for collaboration
in any kind.
We are a group of students from
Inholland Aeronautical
Engineering dept. with diverse
background and interests.

Bastiaan Bom van Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering TU Delft
We add value to the aerospace
sector by increasing the public
awareness on the importance of
space travel, and we challenge
the status quo by using
commercial off-the-shelf
components
I am looking for partners to help
us realize the Stratos III launch,
but also for partners that can
help us scale up our
technologies to realize our
dream to build a small satellite
launcher.
My name is
Bastiaan Bom
and I am the
chief
structures of
the Stratos III
student
rocket.
The start-up idea that I have is
to use the experience and
knowledge that is available
within my student team to build
a launch vehicle that can launch
small satellites up to 100kg into
space.

Kartik Kumar from satsearch.co
satsearch.co will save companies
millions of Euros by providing a
parametric search engine for
aerospace products & services.
Engineers can search based on
specifications & rapidly iterate
through design ideas. Our tools will
connect engineers with the right
suppliers.
We will support the global aerospace
sector by providing open access to
information about products &
services. By generating a
comprehensive index of the
aerospace supply chain, we will
minimize the time lost by engineers
trying to find the parts that they need.
We want to work with aerospace
companies who share our passion
and vision to build an open platform
to showcase their products &
services. We are also seeking
engineers who will provide us with
feedback, to ensure that we build
tools that solve their problems.
My name is Kartik
Kumar and I am
Co-founder & CEO
of satsearch.co. I
am a TU Delft
alumnus.

Uwe Fechner from aenarete – Wind Drones
Developing a portable wind
energy system, using a flying
wing with vertical take of and
landing.
The system can be transported
and installed by just one person
and can harvest 8 kWh per day.
Using the know how from the
aerospace sector makes it
possible to reduce the mass of
wind energy systems by a factor
of four to five and to harvest the
wind from higher altitudes,
where it is stronger and
steadier.
We are looking for contacts in
the field of mechatronics and
rapid prototyping.
Furthermore we are looking for
sponsors and investors.
The market for off-grid
electricity solutions is a billion
dollar market!
My name is Dr.
Uwe Fechner
and during my
research in
Delft I become
an internationally recognized
airborne wind energy expert.
