Themasterplan creates a residential led mixed-use developmentaround a new river park providing a public realm of thehighest standard around the River Medlock, which runsthrough the heart of the site.

Mason Hall, the latest building to becompleted at the University of Birmingham,offers vibrant accommodation for 1260students. The en-suite rooms present viewsof the nearby lake which inspired Aedasdesign. The building takes shape in theform of ripples emanating from the lake toform terraces and protected gardens.

Aedas designs for a 105m four-towerscheme in Salford Quays won approval fromSalford City Council in 2007. The proposalswere developed in joint venture with JohnHitchcoxs and Philippe Starcks brand, yooDevelopments. The identical 26-storeytowers will house more than 1000 one, twoand three bedroom apartments.
