Set your target market:

What's your services or products category.What's your target area.Who are your customer.

Keyword Analysis or Research:

It's a main section which play vital role in campaign success. Your Return on Investment (ROI) depends on this section.

Let's read and review hot to select the perfect ad-words keywords.

First of all write down the 5 phrases relevant to your products and services.

For example our product is “ bulk email software “

While starting keyword analysis on tool Google Keyword Planner which is totally free to use. You need to understand Bid Rate, Searches per Month, Competition level of a keyword.

Bid rate of a Keywords is the maximum cost per click of that keyword. Like if your keyword Bid Rate is $20 then you will charged $20 for every single click.

Searches per Month of a keyword is the estimation of average search of that keyword in a month.

Competition level of a keyword is the chances of your ad visibility on that keyword. Low competition more time your ad will show when ever there is a search on that keyword.

Let's take an example. Have a look on the following keywords selected by keywords planner tool.Keywords Searches per Month Bid Rate (Rs) Competition

There are four types of matching we can use :• Broad Match• Phrase Match• Exact Match• Negative Match

Broad Match

Let's assume that our bidding keyword is “ Bulk Email”

Then our ad will be appear when people search for :

Send email in bulkSoftware for email in bulk

Phrase Match

Same bidding keyword is “ Bulk Email”

Then our ad will be appear when people search for :

Manage your bulk emailBulk email service providerBulk email Marketing softwareSoftware for bulk email

Exact Match

Assuming bidding keyword is “ Bulk Email”

Then our ad will be appear when people search for :

Bulk Email

Negative Keywords

This is used to filter your traffic which you don't want.

Like our software is not free and we don't want to show our ad when someone search with “free” word.

By putting minus sign “-”– Free

Your ad will not appear when someone search for :

Free bulk email softwareBulk email software free

Points to remember while doing keywords analysis:

• Have a look on competitors targeted keywords by searching your product relevant keywords and refreshing the results.

• Try to choose the keywords which are low competitive.• Use Google Keyword Planner tool for keyword analysis.• Imagine yourself as a customer and think what your will type in search box for same product.• Make a list of 50 keywords atleast in notepad.

Adwords Account Setup and How to create a Campaign:

Step 1 Go to https://www.google.com/adwords/

Click in “Start Now”

Step 2 A next page will open. You need to fill the following things:

Enter Your email - Insert your Google account email (Create new one if you don't have)

Country – Select your country

Time Zone – Select your time zone

Currency – Select the currency according to your country.

Have a look on the snapshot given below of step 2

Step 3 A new page will open asking for your password as shown below. Insert the password and click sign in.

Step 4 A page will open having option of “ Create your first campaign” on left side as shown in image below. Click on it.

Step 5 A page will open name as “ Search Network and Display Select – Standard ”

Fill the section given in above snapshot:

Campaign Name – Give a Name to your CampaignType of campaign – Select the network type :For this your have 3 options:Search Network onlyDisplay Network onlySearch Network with Display Select (Recommended for newer advertisers)

Networks – Select Google Search network to see your ads in search engineSelect Google display network to see your ads in affiliate sites too.

affiliate sites are the Google approves advertisement sites.

If you scroll down then there are more queries as shown in below snapshot:

Location – Select the location where you want to show your ads.

Below location there will be section of language, bid strategy and budget per day as shown in below snapshot.

Language – Select the language of your ad.

Bid Strategy – 2 options are there:

I will manually sets my bids for clicks – choosing this your will set manually MCPC (Maximum cost per click)

Adwords will set my bids to help maximize clicks within my target budget – Automatic selection of bids to get maximum clicks.I will prefer you manually bids for clicks.

Budget – Enter your per day budget.

If you scroll down your will see a section of ad extension: Location, sitelinks, call

Select the location if you want to show your location in ad, call if you want to show your number in ads, sitelinks to show links sections.

Atlast click on “ Save and continue”.

Step 6 A new page will open named “ create a group”. Have a look on snapshot.

Name this ad group - Give a name to your group.

Create an ad -

This section will consists of your ads detail:

Headline – A 25 characters HeadlineDescription 1 – 2 lines of 35 characterdescription 2 – Second description if you want to rotate the description.Display URL – URL you want to displayLanding page – Page open when user click on the ad

Have a look on sample ad consists of all above terms.

How to write effective ads in Adwords

• Always use keywords in Headline and Description line

• Always remember to put Benefits 1st and feature 2nd

• Always capitalize your first letter of display URL

• Ad location if your target is location based

Step 7 – Insert the keywords on which you want to show your ads.

You may use match types as we discussed above i.e broad, phrases, exact and negative.

You can add 20 keywords in an ad group. Place the keywords.

Try to avoid single work keywords.
