Angus Grahame is the founder of Splosh.com and

a circular economy specialist. He knows about

starting up a plastic reducing business and the

practicalities of converting ideas into real solutions.

Brady Halligan The Green Program

Brady Halligan is a design thinking strategist

focused on collective action. He’s an expert in

innovative growth strategies, marketing, sales and

community building.

Chris GranthamIDEO

Chris works with organisations on system change

and breakthrough innovation. His work has involved

a number of design-led initiatives with the Ellen

MacArthur Foundation, including the development

of The Circular Design Guide. Launched at The

World Economic Forum in 2017, the guide aims to

develop a generation of creatively confident, systems

orientated circular designers and more resilient

organisations capable of thriving in the circular

economy.

Christina SeidelRecycling Council Alberta

Christina is a life-cycle assessment, waste reduction

and recycling expert, with extensive operational

design experience. She is interested in integrating

this knowledge into circular economy and zero

waste models. She holds a PhD in Engineering

Management, a Masters degree in Environmental

Design (Environmental Science), as well as a B.Sc.

in Mechanical Engineering. She operates sonnevera

international corp., a waste reduction consulting

firm, and is the current Executive Director of the

Recycling Council of Alberta.

Gonzalo Muñoz Triciclos

Gonzalo Muñoz has worked with several consumer

good companies in his past life for almost 10 years.

He now runs a recycling B-corp in 5 countries in

South America, seeking to solve the issues with the

non recyclable plastics packaging he previously put

on the market.

Jan LeyssensPlan C

Jan is a Belgium-based designer, maker and

entrepreneur creating business models, products

and services for Circular Economy and social

innovation. He strongly believes you can’t turn

sustainability into a positive story if your main

focus is on negative impact. In design, Jan always

looks for the overlap between activism and

entrepreneurship, technology and community.

Joe MurphyEllen MacArthur Foundation

Joe manages the CE100 business network and EMF’s

day-to-day contact with emerging innovators. Joe

has ample experience in sniffing out disruptive,

systemically relevant innovations, both in his current

role and his previous one, where he helped grow

social enterprises working in Education in London.

Karen van der StadtKIDV

Karen is a packaging expert at the Netherlands

Institute for Sustainable Packaging. Since 2009 she

has been connecting packaging design & packaging

waste and policy & practice. Karen has extensive

practical knowhow of the entire packaging chain

and is specialized in packaging design for recycling.

She started her career as a technical packaging

designer for several brands at a design agency.

Lara DickinsonOSC2

Lara has nearly twenty years of consumer packaged

goods marketing, sales, and general management

experience with an emphasis on bringing healthy

product innovations to the natural and mass

market. For the past five years, she has provided

strategic sales, marketing and leadership consulting

to consumer goods companies, including Numi

Organic Tea, Alter Eco Foods, Jamba Juice, House

Foods America and Japan, Mighty Leaf Tea, Gardein

Protein, and Balance Bar, Nestle’s Purina, Estancia

Beef, and Boppy.

Linus Jiremark is a packaging sustainability specialist

with a mission to create “packaging solutions with

regard to future generations”. He is accustomed

to challenge the packaging industries through

purposeful designs.

Lukas has experience working on marketing at

organizations that redesign a diversity of products

from the ground up, working on various circular

economy initiatives. He’s also taught circular

economy courses at University of Amsterdam.

Michiel De SmetEllen MacArthur Foundation

Michiel works with the New Plastics Economy

initiative and has worked closely with building the

vision for a system that works. He has previously

consulted management executives in both private

sector, working at McKinsey & Company, and

social sector, through the OnPurpose leadership

programme.

Nick CliffeInnovate UK

Nick is an innovation and circular economy specialist

with extensive experience in recycling plastics

and packaging. He has knowledge of packaging

design, design for recycling, circular business model

development and novel recycling technologies.

Nina Goodrich has an industry background in

plastics package development and now works

with the Sustainable Packaging Coalition and

GreenBlue to promote the principles of sustainable

materials management that seek to help industry:

use materials wisely, promote material health and

recover more. She believes in the power of the

circular economy to provide growth without waste

and that innovation and sustainability are linked

as key drivers for our future. Nina has worked to

develop a value proposition for sustainability and to

share it with all who will listen.

Peter GoodwinClosed Loop Recycling

Peter Goodwin designs, implements and manages

collaborative systems and programmes within the

hospitality and foodservice sector. His expertise

is based on creating value and markets for used

food and beverage packaging to ensure materials

are recovered as a valuable raw material for local

manufacturers.

Ryan WilliamsMethod

Ryan has more than a decade of experience as

a sustainability and product expert, and also

as a toxicologist as well. He received his PhD in

environmental toxicology from the University of

California, Riverside.

Sander DefruytEllen MacArthur Foundation

Few people know more about the plastics

packaging system than Sander. He works with the

New Plastics Economy initiative and has been part

of the core team writing both the New Plastics

Economy reports.

Sanderine van OdjikEnviu

Sanderine has hands-on experience in setting

up businesses in the field of circular economy.

Her expertise lies in business model generation,

validation, fundraising, and strategy development.

She also has a deep understanding of the plastic/

packaging value chain, particularly of opportunities

and challenges in emerging economies.

Sandra CurtisPlastic Pollution Coalition

Sandra brings a wealth of experience developing

projects across media and at the intersection of

education, science and health. An academic, author,

producer, media executive and educator, she is

applying her creative, entrepreneurial and business

skills to expand the partnerships, programs, and

projects of PPC. She earned her PhD at UC Berkeley

in Education.

Savannah Whitney Coursera

Savannah currently works for Coursera, an

education technology startup in the San Francisco

Bay Area, where she specializes is product and

design research. Her expertise lies in conducting

research to inform product strategy, uncover user

needs, validate design concepts, and evaluate

user experiences. She’s particularly interested

in creating novel participatory design stimuli to

unlock perspectives people might not consciously

have access to.
