Why clustering?

•  Strengthen collaboration among projects

•  Mutual benefit: consortia, EU (citizens, taxpayers)

•  Increased efficiency

•  Possible new partnerships

Page 20: Advise’Liaison’ Workshop’ - IES€¦ · Workshop ’ ... exchange and analysis of big data including cyber-offenses generated data for forensic investigation FCT-2-2015. Forensic

How collaborating?

•  Ad-hoc meeting (e.g. if review meeting) to better know each other’s projects and identify fields of collaboration

•  Brussels central meeting: REA premises 1. Consortia 2. DG ENTR + DG HOME? CONNECT? 3. End-users

•  How often?

Page 21: Advise’Liaison’ Workshop’ - IES€¦ · Workshop ’ ... exchange and analysis of big data including cyber-offenses generated data for forensic investigation FCT-2-2015. Forensic

How collaborating?/2

How to ensure an effective collaboration? 1. Common platform? 2. CMS (Google Drive)? 3. Website? 4. Review or relevant meetings/workshops?

• Exchanging deliverables? > at least “Public” ones! Reports?

• Give access to each other Intranet?

• Networking = Other activities = 100% reimbursement

Integra>on  of  SSH  in  Horizon  2020

§  Social  sciences  and  humani>es  (SSH)  are  given  an  enhanced  role  as  a  cross-‐cudng  issue  across  Horizon  2020

§  SSH  disciplines  are  invited  to  address  complex  societal  challenges,  which  is  why  contribu>ons  from  the  SSH  will  oeen  appear  in  interdisciplinary  and  mul>disciplinary  contexts

§  Topics  that  explicitly  take  into  account  the  social,  economic,  behavioural,  ins>tu>onal,  historical  and/or  cultural  dimensions  of  a  societal  challenge  are  flagged  as  SSH-‐relevant

§  If  your  proposals  belong  to  an  SSH-‐relevant  topic,  you  should  explicitly  iden>fy  contribu>ons  from  the  SSH
