Qualification and experience : As per latest UGC norms (for details, please see GU website :www.gauhati.ac.in). Mere fulfillment of qualification will not entitle an applicant forinviting to the interview.

Pay Band and Academic Grade Pay :Professor : PB-4 =Rs. 37,400-67,000 & AGP : Rs. 10,000/-Associate Professor : PB4 Rs. 37,400-67,000 & AGP : Rs. 9,000/Assistant Professor : PB-3 =Rs. 15,600-39,100 & AGP : Rs. 6,000/-For contractual post = Rs. 15,000/-(Consolidated) per month

Application Fees & Last date : Candidates will be required to pay an amount ofRs. 1000/- (in case of SC/ST Rs. 500/-) by Demand Draft in favour of Registrar,Gauhati University payable at SBI, G.U. Branch as an application fees for the post. Completedapplications in the prescribed form along with necessary enclosures must reach The Registrar,Gauhati University, Guwahati-14 latest by 15.03.2012Those who are willing to apply for morethan one post, they must submit separate application form with separate application fees. Thename of the post and Department must be written on the envelope of the application.
