Prescribed application forms along with general information and instructions can be had from theSale Counter (Administration Section) by hand on payment of Rs. 250/- in cash or by sending DemandDraft for Rs. 250/- (SC/ST candidates may get the application form on production of documentary proof onpayment of Rs. 60/- in cash or by sending Demand Draft of Rs. 60/-) in favour of Registrar, Shri LalBahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskirit Vidyapeetha drawn on any Nationalized Bank payable at New Delhi.Candidates applying on downloaded application forms are required to enclose a Demand Draft of Rs. 250/-(Rs.60/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of Registrar, SLBSRSV, New Delhi. Separate applicationform should be submitted for each post. The PH candidates may get the application forms free of cost onproduction of documentary proof. Those candidates who have already applied for the teaching posts inresponse to the advertisement No.1/2011 & 2/2011 need not submit demand draft. However, they have toapply afresh on the prescribed application form indicating therein the name of the bank, date and number ofthe demand draft enclosed with their application. Essential Qualifications and Eligibility criteria:-

TEACHING:

Professor: 02: PB-4: Rs.37400-67000 + AGP Rs.10000:

Sahitya : 01: (XI Plan): UREligibility:*Essential:

(i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualifications(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline andpublished work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with aminimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college related to Sanskrit Dramaturgyand Poetics, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, includingexperience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology -mediated teaching learning process.

(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based PerformanceBased Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the Regulation in Appendix III.

(v) In addition to the above, Acharya/ Master’s Degree in Sahitya with a minimum of 55% marks withspecialization in Sahitya Shastra preferably in Natyashastra (Dramaturgy).

OR

An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significantcontributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated bycredentials.

*Important Note:-The candidates while submitting the applications as per the afore-mentionedqualification requirements must have the Post-Graduate Degree in the relevant subject. They must alsoensure that their Ph.D degree and publications etc. shall be strictly in Sanskrit language. In addition to theabove, they must have the teaching/research experience in the relevant subject as per the advertisement.

Professor (Education): 01: (XI Plan) : UREligibility:**Essential:

1. A Master’s Degree in Arts/ Humanities/ Science/ Commerce/and M.Ed each with a minimum of55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed); OR

M.A ( Education) with 55% marks ((or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever gradingsystem is followed) and B.Ed each with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in apoint scale wherever grading system is followed);

2. Ph.D in Education; and

3. At least ten years of teaching experience in university department of education or college ofeducation, of which a minimum of five years at the M.Ed level and published work of high

4. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology -mediated teaching learning process.

5. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based PerformanceBased Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC's Regulation at Appendix-III.

**Important:Note:-(1) The degrees of Shiksha Shastri and Shiksha Acharya shall be considered equivalent to B.Ed and

M.Ed respectively as per the Office Memorandum No.14021/5/96-Estt(D) dated 9.8.1996 of theGovt. of India, Ministry of Personnel, P.G. & Pensions, (Department of Personnel & Training).

(2) The candidates have the ability to teach in Sanskrit language.(3) In order to assess the ability of the candidates to teach in Sanskrit language, the Selection

Committee shall consider their educational qualifications in Sanskrit, experience acquired onteaching/research positions or significant contributions to educational innovation, design ofcurricula/courses and/or research aptitude evidenced by quality of publications etc. specifically inthe Sanskrit language at the time of interview. The outcome of such consideration regarding theability and suitability of the candidate to teach in Sanskrit medium shall be mandatorily recordedin the minutes of the Selection Committee. In case it is not feasible to recommend asuitable/meritorious candidate with the desired background as stated above on ground ofnon-availability despite best efforts, compulsions for teaching modern subjects and/or anyother technicalities, the Selection Committee may consider other candidates with exceptionalmerit in the relevant discipline/subject as advertised by recording specific reasons in theminutes for selecting candidate without Sanskrit background

Associate Professor: 05: PB-4: Rs.37400-67000 + AGP Rs.9000:

Vyakaran : 03 : (02-Non-Plan & 01-OBC Grant): - 01-ST, 01-SC, 01-UR

Eligibility: -*Essential:

(i) Good academic record with a Ph.D Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.

(ii) A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever gradingsystem is followed).

(iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research positionequivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a university, college or accredited research institution excludingthe period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as booksand/or research/policy papers.

(iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology -mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and researchstudents.

(v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance BasedAppraisal System(PBAS), set out in the Regulation in Appendix III.

6. Specialization with Sanskrit and Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with 55% marks.

Assistant Professor -( 23+1=24 ): PB-3: Rs.15600-39100 + AGP Rs.6000:

Vyakaran : 01: (Non-Plan) - SC, Paurohitya : 01 (Non-Plan) - UR,Sarva Darshan : 01 (Non-Plan)- STComputer Science : 01 (XI Plan) - UR

Eligibility: -*Essential:

(i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks or, an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale withlatter grades O,A,B,C,D,E & F at Acharya / Master's degree level, in the relevant subject from an IndianUniversity or, an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

(ii) Besides fulfilling the above-mentioned qualifications, candidates should have cleared the NationalEligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

*(iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in afore-mentioned clauses (i) and (ii) of Clause 4.4.1 of theRegulation, candidate, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UniversityGrants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009,shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET forrecruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities.

(iv) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for whichNET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

*Important Note: - Notwithstanding the conditions prescribed for exemption of NET/SLET/SET as at(iii) above, it must be ensured that the candidates seeking exemption from NET/SLET/SET must haveacquired Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject as per the University Grants Commission (MinimumStandards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 failing which their candidatureshall not be considered. Further, the candidates must have cleared the eligibility test such asNET/SLET/SET in the concerned subject only without which their candidature shall not be considered.

Assistant Professor (Vastu Shastra): 03 (01-Non-Plan & 02-XI Plan): - 02-UR, 01-OBC

Eligibility:Essential:

(i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks or, an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale withlatter grades O,A,B,C,D,E & F at Acharya / Master's degree in Vastu Shastra the from an Indian Universityor, an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

(ii) Besides fulfilling the above-mentioned qualifications, candidates should have cleared the NationalEligibility Test (NET) in Vastu Shastra conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGClike SLET/SET.

(iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in afore-mentioned clauses (i) and (ii) of Clause 4.4.1 of theRegulation, candidate, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in Vastu Shastra in accordance withthe University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree)Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition ofNET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions inUniversities.

In case of non-availability of candidates as per the afore-said eligibility criteria, thecandidates who possessed the following eligibility criteria may also be considered for thispost:

(i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks or, an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale withlatter grades O,A,B,C,D,E & F at Acharya / Master's degree in Sidhant/Ganit/Falit Jyotish from an IndianUniversity or, an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

(ii) Besides fulfilling the above-mentioned qualifications, candidates should have cleared the NationalEligibility Test (NET) in Jyotish conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC likeSLET/SET.

(iii) Ph.D. degree in Vastu Shastra OR Ph.D. degree in interdisciplinary subject of Jyotish & VastuShastra in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure forAward of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009.

(iv) High Quality of publications (2-3 Books/Research Papers) in Vastu Shastra (National/InternationalStandard with ISBN/ISSN numbers).

Assistant Professor (Women's Studies) : Women Studies :02 (01- XI Plan & 01-Temporary) : -UR : Up to 31.3.2017 or till the continuation of the Centre for Women Studies, whichever is earlier

Essential

(i) Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or, an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scalewith latter grades O,A,B,C,D, E & F at Acharya / Master's degree in Women's Studies or any subject ofSocial Sciences, Humanities and Legal Studies from an Indian University or, an equivalent degree from anaccredited foreign university.

(ii) Besides fulfilling the above-mentioned qualifications, candidates should have cleared the NationalEligibility Test (NET) in Women Studies conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by theUGC like SLET/SET.

General Terms and Conditions of Recruitments:-

1. Application Form:

a) Prescribed application forms along with the general information and instructions can be had from theAdministration Section by hand on payment of Rs.250/- in cash or by sending Demand Draft for Rs. 250/-(Rs.60/- for SC/ST subject to production of documentary proof) in favour of Shri Lal Bahadur ShastriRashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha drawn on any Nationalized Bank payable at New Delhi. Candidatesapplying on downloaded application forms are required to enclose a Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- (Rs.60/- forSC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of Registrar, SLBSRSV, New Delhi. The PH candidates may get theapplication forms free of cost on production of documentary proof. Separate application forms should besubmitted for each post. Money Orders or Cheques shall not be accepted towards the application fee. Thecandidates may download the application form from the Vidyapeetha Website- www.slbsrsv.ac.in and sendthe same duly filled-in to the Assistant Registrar (Selection) along with the prescribed application fee.

c) Receipt of Applications after the last date: The last date of receipt of duly filled- in application (by hand/by post) is 23.08.2013 which may be extended by the competent authority depending upon the exigency ofthe situation. Notification to this effect will be placed on the web-site of the Vidyapeetha. Incompleteapplications and applications received after the due date shall be rejected. The Vice Chancellor may howeverorder for acceptance of any application received after the closing date subject to production of proof that theapplication along with the enclosures and the desired bank draft is posted by the candidate on or before theclosing date of the receipt of the application as per the Advertisement. In case the closing date is a holiday,the next working day shall be treated as closing/last date.

d) Application should be addressed to the "Assistant Registrar (Selection) - Recruitment Cell, Shri Lal BahadurShastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha(Deemed to be University),B-4,Qutab Institutional Area, Shaheed JeetSingh Marg, New Delhi-110016" in a closed cover super-scribing "Application for the post of..................................." The Vidyapeetha shall not be responsible for any postal delay. Thecandidate will also be required to write his/her complete correspondence and permanent address withpin code numbers, telephone numbers, cell-phone numbers and e-mail ID .

3. Mere possession of eligibility conditions shall not entitle a candidate to be called for written test/interview.The date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be the closing date asprescribed in the advertisement for receipt of the applications. In other words no candidate shall be called forinterview if he does not possess the minimum qualification and experience etc. as on the closing date of theapplication for a particular post.

4. Apart from possessing the requisite qualification and experience as on the closing date of receipt ofapplication prescribed in the advertisement, any additional qualification and experience acquired after theclosing date may be taken into account at the time of selection.

5. It is the responsibility of the candidate to assess his own eligibility for the post for which he/she is applying inaccordance with the prescribed qualification, experience etc and submit his application duly filled-in alongwith the desired information, documents and other supporting materials as per the advertisement. In case, itis detected at any point of time in future even after appointment that the candidate was not eligible as per theprescribed qualification, experience etc. which could not be detected at the time of interview due to whatevercircumstances, his appointment shall be liable to termination forthwith as per this clause and also based onhis undertaking. With regard to any ambiguity relating to the recruitment rules in general and eligibility inrespect of any post in particular, the decision of the Board of Management shall be final.

6. Acceptance of documents/certificates/claims etc. submitted by an applicant will be subject to theirverification by the competent authorities/sources. If, any claim/certificate/document is found to befalse/fake/incorrect/ malafide at any stage of verification before or after appointment, the document inquestion shall be summarily rejected and action may be initiated against the candidate for this misconductincluding rejection of his candidature which shall lead to cancellation of his appointment, if alreadyappointed.

7. If at any stage of the recruitment process or employment, it is detected that there is a wilful suppression offactual information relating to the eligibility or otherwise as a candidate, followed by supply of fakedocuments/ or misleading statement/information in the application or tampering of documents or providing

20such information relating to the caste, educational qualifications, experience, date of birth ordomicile etc., the candidature shall be cancelled and services shall be terminated forthwith ,if already .

8. For all teaching posts, the research publications of a candidate shall mean his original contributions/ workswhich have seen the light of the day after being published by any publishers. The Publications must displaythe originality of the author with an innovative mind indicating scholarship. Under no circumstances editingof collected articles/materials which have already been published earlier can be equated with publications asthis work does not meet the afore-mentioned objectives and requirements. The publications or academiccredentials already considered once at the time of promotion/up-gradation under the CAS shall not beconsidered again for next up-gradation/promotion under the CAS.

9. The Vidyapeetha may scrutinize the authenticity of the research output and publications, study materials,articles, status of journals etc. of any candidate through external experts in the relevant field at any point oftime and even at a later stage after appointment as it may not be possible on the part of the SelectionCommittee to perform this task instantly due to constraints of time. In case it is found by a board consistingexternal experts of the relevant field that any or all of the publications/articles/research output etc. are piratedor substandard or misleading not indicating an iota of originality or innovative mind or scholarship, theBoard of Management may review its decision at any stage and recommend to the Chancellor giving specificreasons to consider cancellation of the appointment forthwith on ground of eligibility. The Vidyapeetha shallmention this clause in the letter of offer to be made to the candidate which shall be duly accepted by thecandidate before issue of the letter of appointment. In case of non-teaching posts, the claims made in theapplication at the time of recruitment or any time after the appointment shall also be scrutinized/verified atany stage and in case any claim is found to be false, the appointment shall be liable to beterminated/cancelled. An undertaking from all the candidates shall be taken to the effect that thepublications, research out-put, certificates of experience, qualification or testimonials submitted are genuineand not fake, manufactured, manipulated or pirated. In case it is detected by the employer at any point oftime even after employment that his academic credentials are without standing, fake or substandard or hisdocuments are false, fabricated, manufactured, his/her services shall be terminated forthwith by giving him anotice of one month for which the candidate shall have no objection.

10. Relaxation in age and experience etc. if any to the candidates belonging to the Schedule Caste/ScheduleTribes/OBC/PH and other reserved categories may be considered as per the UGC/ Govt. of India guidelinesand the recruitment rules of the Vidyapeetha. A certificate to this effect issued from the competent authorityshould be attached with the prescribed application form. Whatever, relaxation of qualification includingpercentage of marks is permitted under the UGC/GOI guidelines, such relaxation shall also be considered inappropriate cases subject to recommendations of the screening committee . Age limit shall not apply to theemployees of the Vidyapeetha including daily wager/contract persons and the employees of the CentralGovernment/Central Universities/ Deemed to be Universities/Other Central autonomousbodies/organizations/Institutions/ Public Sector Undertakings/Reputed Corporate/Banks as per rule -25(ii) ofthe recruitment rules of the Vidyapeetha.

11. The candidate will have to present himself/herself for an interview if called for, at the place and timementioned at his own expenses. However, the out-side candidates belonging to SC/ST categories will bedefrayed sleeper class rail fare, and in case any station is not connected by rail, ordinary bus fare shall be paidby shortest route, if called for interview against the reserved posts. No extra charges, if any, incurred forreserving seat/sleeping berth in the train will, however, be reimbursed to the candidates. The above-mentioned concessions are not admissible to those SC/ST candidates who are already in Central/StateGovernment service/ or holding any other employment.

12. The appointment on deputation shall be made initially for a period of two years which may be extended onyearly basis up to a maximum period of five years subject to satisfactory performance, good behaviour andhigh integrity. The Vidyapeetha however, shall have the right to repatriate the incumbent any time evenbefore the prescribed period in case his/her performance, integrity and conduct are found to be unsatisfactoryat any stage according to the opinion of the Competent authority or the repatriation of the officer againstwhose vacancy the deputationist has been working. The application may be forwarded by the employeralong with the CR dossiers duly certified by the competent authority for the last five years through properchannel

13. The selected candidate shall be governed by the "Pension Rules" of the Govt. of India as in force from time totime.

14. The Selected candidates shall be governed by the CCS(Conduct) Rules, 1964 and CCS (CCA) Rule, 1965 ofthe Government of India as amended from time to time or and any other rule/resolution prescribedspecifically for maintaining the conduct of the employees by the Board of Management of the Vidyapeetha.

2115 Candidate who is already in service should submit his/her application through proper channel.

However, he/she may send an advance copy of his/her application and should produce a "No ObjectionCertificate" from the employer at the time of interview failing which he/she shall not be interviewed.Further, these candidate should also submit a certificate from the employer or his authorized officerto effect that no disciplinary proceeding is pending nor contemplated against him. Apart from this, theVigilance Clearance Report shall also be furnished along with the application form or at the time ofinterview.

16. The candidate applying for the teaching and non-teaching posts should send the copies of all certificates (dulyattested by the Gazetted Officer or by the Registrar/Finance Officer/Controller ofExamination/Principal/Vice-Principal/Deputy Registrar/Deputy Controller of Examination of any universityestablished under the Act of Parliament or State Legislature) relating to his/her educational qualifications,experience, age, caste and other testimonials along with his/her application. Failure to submit the documentswithout attestation by the Gazetted Officer shall lead to cancellation of candidature. The candidates applyingfor teaching posts should send three sets of their publications, research papers, articles etc., if any along withtheir application. In case the application of any applicant is not supported by the desired enclosuresincluding certificates, mark sheets and publications, his candidature shall be summarily rejected and nocorrespondence shall be entertained thereafter. The candidates must be instructed to submit a list ofenclosures to avoid any confusion in this regard.

17. (i) The Vidyapeetha reserves the right to fill or not to fill up the posts advertised for any reasons whatsoever. Ifany vacancy arises after recruitment to a particular post due to whatsoever reasons, the vacancy may be filledup from the panel of that post within a period of one year from the date of selection committee. In any caseevery panel shall be treated as invalid after one year w.e.f. the date of the meeting of the SelectionCommittee.

(ii) Vacancies are likely to increase or decrease according to the circumstances.(iii) The Vidyapeetha reserves the right to withdraw the advertisement either partly or wholly at any time without

assigning any reason to this effect.(iv) The Vidyapeetha reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason thereof.(v) If any advertisement for any post(s) is withdrawn due to whatever reasons, the application fee or any other

fee collected from the candidates shall be refunded as the earliest.

18. (i) Interim enquiries shall not be entertained.(ii) 'CANVASSING IN ANY FORM SHALL DISQUALIFY THE CANDIDATURE

OF THE CANDIDATE’(iii) Applicants are required to apply on separate form for each post. Each application without the requiredapplication fee by way of A/c payee draft shall be rejected. Cheque(s) shall not be accepted under anycircumstances.

19. Percentage equivalence of Grade Points for a Seven Point Scale is as under :

20. For assessing the "Good Academic Record" of the candidate for recruitment, minimum 55% marks in the HighSchool, Intermediate, Graduate and at Post-Graduate level shall be taken into account.

21. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance BasedAppraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC's Regulation, 2010 at Appendix-III (Page no.108).

22. The candidate applying for the teaching posts must possess the Post-Graduate /Ph.D/ M.Phil degree in therelevant subject as per the guidelines of the UGC/NCTE. The consequential benefits on account ofPh.D/M.Phil degree shall not be extended who do not have Ph.D./M.Phil Degree in the relevant subject.

23. For any clarification, the candidates may contact the Assistant Registrar (Selection) of the Vidyapeetha inwriting. In case of any grievance of any candidate, the candidate may also approach the CompetentAuthorities of the Vidyapeetha in writing for redressal relating to the recruitment sufficiently in advance.

24. Notwithstanding anything mentioned above, the candidate(s) or the person(s) appointed against any post asper advertisement shall be governed by the Memorandum of Association, Bye-Laws governing the serviceconditions/method of recruitments as amended from time to time and resolutions of the Board ofManagement of the Vidyapeetha and rules of the Govt. of India/Guidelines of the UGC adopted by theVidyapeetha from time to time.

25. Important:- Those candidates who have already applied for the teaching post in response to theadvertisement No.1/2011, 2/2011 need not submit demand draft. However, they have to apply afresh on theprescribed application form indicating therein the name of the bank, date and number of the demand draftenclosed with their application. If they fail to apply afresh, their candidature shall not be considered.Further, in such cases, the eligibility criteria and other terms and conditions as prescribed in thisadvertisement shall be taken into account for determining their eligibility for the post(s).

26. For detailed terms and conditions relating to the recruitments, the candidates are required to refer to the "Bye-Laws Governing the Method of Recruitment-2012" which has already been up-loaded on the web-site of theVidyapeetha.

27. While filling the posts under direct recruitment, the Vidyapeetha shall hold the written tests for all Group "A""B" "C" Non-Teaching posts as per Rule 9 (IV) (e) of the "Bye-Laws Governing the Method of Recruitment-2012"

28. Anomalies, if any in the advertisement No.06/2013 to be noticed in due course of action, shall be rectified asper rule.

29. In case of any grievance of any candidate, the candidate may also approach the Vice-Chancellor/Registrar ofthe Vidyapeetha in writing for redressal relating to the recruitment sufficiently in advance.

30. Territorial Jurisdiction: In case of any disputes, the territorial jurisdiction for adjudication shall be Delhi only
