Advert Analyse – The Killers Day and Age
There has only been one imaged used on this advert and its
of a mosaicked desert at night. This album, ‘Day and Age’ is
The Killers third studio album and therefore having the
band on front cover of the advertisement for their new
album is necessary as The Killers would have been on the
music scene three years prior to this album being released.
The colours are very muted at the top, bottom and sides of
the album advert which I think brings emphasis to the
middle where the band name and album name are located.
The colours support the idea of the advert looking like a
desert designed out of mosaics.
The Killers have an identity in the music scene; the band
logo is always the same which also looks like mosaics. This
could imply that the album might be a bit more personal to
the band and that they were a lot more involved in the
making of it.
