Jeans-Love to hate them/Hate to love them. Part of my love of dresses and skirts come from my deep disdain in finding a pair of pants ( jeans especially) that make me feel sexy. This is a battle that most of the time I am not willing to fight. They are either too tight as if my thighs don’t need to breath … to loose on the butt, or they sit incorrectly on my hips. Plain and simple I don’t like feeling smushed into my clothes no matter how good they look. If I am not comfortable then its blatantly obvious no matter how cute the “Fit. So while I am still on the quest for the perfect pair, if you have any suggestions please let me know, but in the mean time I do have a few pairs of pants that I enjoy rockin. I absolutely love anything with a high waist and these are no exception!

Adventures in Brown Shoe Advice I am an avid shoe collector, but the catch is I actually wear my shoes rarely if ever do they get put on display. The only exception to the rule is when I first get them home … using the box as a display unit and place them out just so as I give them the once over and the royal treatment! If you wear your shoes like I do you are bound to have some wear an tear, but don’t give up hope! For the longest as I was younger when I had a pair of shoes I had loved to death it was like having a small funeral… hard to let go, all the while consoling myself with the fact that I got my money’s worth. Then I discovered the Shoe Repair Man. Now my shoes never have to die. So whenever I have a broken heel or one that is worn down, a scuff that I can’t fix my self or a shoe where the colors are fading,I take them to be repaired. Treat your clothing and accessories just like you would want to be treated, occasionally they need to be pampered and renewed. Cause Lawdknows I’d be lost without my fave pair of shoes on any Round Brown Adventure!

Inspiration

This outfit was really inspired by 60’s and 70’s style influences. I love the look of the White Oxford tied shirt and skinny black pants and Keds, but I wanted to do a different spin. So I mixed the oxford shirt with the 70’s inspired high waist dark wash blue jeans and added some red (which is quite possibly my all time favorite color to accessorize with). The espadrille’s kept it fresh and clean, pop the collar for a little extra pizzaz and it’s a go!
