Advent Study on Wednesday Nights
Started on Nov. 20 - Dec. 6, 13 & 20 at 6:00
Sevierville First UMC - Wesleyan Classroom Rediscovering the True Wonder of Christmas. Our new Advent Study explores four elements of the Chr istmas
story that teach us about the wonder of God’s great love for us: 1. A Star. 2. A Name. 3. A Manger. 4. A Promise. We
look to these wonder-filled aspects of the Christmas story, we will rediscover that the true wonder of Christmas is found
in the love of Christ and made real in our hearts when we share that love with others. Join us this Advent as we embrace
and celebrate the true wonder of Christmas, believing that because of God’s great love and light in Jesus Christ, anything
is possible!
BLOOD PRESSURE Free Blood Pressure checks in the Great Hall on the first Sunday of the month between 9:35 am - 10:15 am. The easiest test you’ve taken since kindergarten.
Holston United Methodist Home for Children DECEMBER 29 IS FIFTH SUNDAY!
The churches in the Holston Annual Conference have, for many years, supported the ministry of Holston United
Methodist home for children by receiving a special Fifth Sunday Offering. This provides a sure way to share in the responsibilities of providing care and compassion to children who look to the church at a time of crisis.
Your generous gift on December 29 will make a difference.

YOUTH ROOMS FUNDRAISER I have an exciting announcement! We have been approached by someone who wants to help us revolutionize our two youth rooms (upstairs middle school room and the youth room downstairs). The donor has offered to match dollar for dollar, up to ten thousand dollars. The vision is to make these spaces second to none. We want to draw the youth of Sevier County to this place, because when they come, we will present the word of God and the love of Jesus Christ to them. This will allow their lives to be revolutionized. We are going to supply new bibles, seating, lighting, our new logo on the wall, a cross on the wall, gaming areas & equipment, new technology, school logos painted on the wall, new furniture, a newly designed space, plus more. If you have a heart for our youth, please consider giving a gift and know that what you give will be matched up to ten thousand dollars. All proceeds will go to the accomplishment of this project. We will be taking matching donations through December 31
st.
