Live through the present moment fulfilling it withlove like Mary. Fill all the moments of the senseof the essential thing. The life is made of manyand brief minutes of hope and, in this way, the

39 Mary set out at that time and went as quickly as she could into thehill country to a town in Judah.

Jesus, the Way, can't walk yet alone. He needs to be taken byhis young mother, bearer of good news, messenger of joy.The circumstances and personal events through that she is

living don't prevent Mary from continuing her everyday life,

thinking about others, approaching to who needs it. She walksfast. The impulse of the Spirit doesn't know about slownesses.

40 She went into Zechariah's house and greeted Elizabeth. 41 Now ithappened that as soon as Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the child leaptin her womb.

We also live through the situation of Mary and

Elizabeth. It can be that, as to Elizabeth, someone visits us, starts the life that each onewe have inside and provokes in us a reaction of

immense happiness. It can be that, like Mary, some of our attitudes

provokes happiness, hope, desire of living...

    in others.

Then ,Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.42 She gave a loud cry and said, 'Of all women you are the most blessed,

and blessed is the fruit of your womb.

The encounter of the two women is loaded with tenderness and with interior

movement; it provokes praise and happiness. Blessing is to speak well, to extoll, topraise, to glorify. I hope let's be ready to bless often, to say good to God, to thepersons, to all the creatures. If we try to look with Jesus' eyes, we will see thekindness of everything what we receive and there will sprout in us the desire topraise and to bless.Might it to be said of each of us that where we are, where we go, we take

    happiness, blessing, hope, Good News?

43 Why should I be honored with a visit from the mother of my Lord? 44 Look, the moment your greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb leapt forjoy.

The whole saving plan of God is in hands of two simple women. Mary wants to beclose to Elizabeth, wants to embrace, receive the sheen of her eyes, the beats ofher heart, listen to her voice, offering and accepting help, share the simple anddaily details: the look, the closeness, the silence, the listening, the suitable word, the encouragement...The same Spirit moves us today to do of our life an encounter. With whom? What type of encounters do I have with others? Superficial? Interested parties?

Deep and human at level of friendship, of solidarity, of faith? Do I contagioushappiness and enthusiasm to the persons whom I meet?

45Yes, blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by theLord would be fulfilled.

The faith is always a happiness motive. One of the features most typical of it is tobe able to come along with the one who needs our presence. To accompany to live.It is the language that the whole world understands: the faith translated inavailability, welcome, closeness, service and solidarity. God always counting with usto fulfill his promises .

With the autumn I began receivingcommunion with the baby that I carriedinside. All the mothers imagine and do

cabbalas on how it will be their baby. Theydaydream and they are drawing its

possible profile, its tastes, its gaits. Theyspeak in the intimacy with it.

When I was closing the eyes and wastrying to listen to the sensations that

there was transmitting to me the babywho I was carrying in my womb, only I was

feeling a peace without name and, ofcourse, an interior force that was born of

the weak, of something so fragile andbaby like me.
