Precautions
1. Always wear a safety helmet
2. Be alert of flammable gas smell
3. Don’t strike matches / use lighters
4. Avoid touching loose electric wires
5. Always walk close to walls
6. To prevent void collapse keep off wreckage as much as possible
7. Do not pull timber / polls out of wreckage indiscriminately
8. Don’t enter dangerous places without informing the companions
9. Observe precautions and use PPEs in contaminated areas

When it is safer to stay in your home?
If your escape route is blocked, it may be safer to stay and protect yourself until the fire brigade arrives

• Make jagged edges safe with a towel or blanket
If you’re on the ground or first floor, go out of a window. Use bedding to cushion your fall
