The ARM processor that powers the Advantech RTX reference design has also been specially adapted for the RTX form factor. Ultra compact versions of ARM’s current processor families will also be available for customized RTX designs.
Advantech's RTX form factor 400-pin definition lets customers easily design a suitable carrier board that meets specific requirements. The standard solution also allows customers to maintain their existing products without re-designing the whole system.
(Not all I/O functions on carrier board listed below can be supported; this depends on RTX Computer-on-Module.)
Advantech RTX uses four board-to-board 100-pin connectors for all I/O signals, and a 3.3V/3.6V/5V power supply as shown below. Using this standardized 400-pin definition, the Advantech RTX form factor provides customers with high I/O expandability and design flexibility, as well as supporting a wide range of I/O standards and common interfaces that can meet a variety of different requirements. In addition, Advantech RTX is highly compatible with existing ARM processors.
