Zero VOCs and Universally Dispersible
Wood stains traditionally contain notoriously high levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which are emitted during the application and drying process. These carcinogens can have dangerous residual effects on humans for years after application, including both the worker as well as occupants of the buildings where these products had been applied.
AMIRON, through its unique ability to be easily dispersed and stabilized in water or oil-‐based solvent, does not require the use of dangerous and toxic additives, allowing the production of zero-‐VOC wood stains that are safe for the user (including children and pets) as well as the environment.

UV Protection
AMIRON provides ultra-‐violet protection to the wood it protects through its advantageous refractive index, which dissipates energy from the sun and minimizes the degradation of lignin. This allows wood to avoid the aging and darkening process. This benefit, in turn, creates a virtuous cycle as the absence of degraded lignin allows for the extended efficacy of the coating.
