out of successfully designing and executing the correct resume format in obtaining a Federal Job.

The class will “de-code” and make apparent in layman’s terms the correct Federal verbiage and hidden tools specifically available for the Federal Job Seeker.

The class will further identify more than 20 “hoops” and pitfalls that the otherwise inexperienced federal job seeker would encounter fueling his frustration.

The class will provide both the “trainer” and Federal Job Seeker a preparatory checklist of items needed that the otherwise unprepared job seeker would never know to gather beforehand in order to properly prepare a federal application / resume.

The M2M Program has three components:

Two day workshop: To understand manufacturing careers and requirements. Prior to these two

days, candidates may attend an orientation to determine interest and are most commonly referred by SFL,

as well as other agencies and organizations

For those who complete the two day program, plant tours at manufacturing facilities are scheduled.

CAMPS assists the candidates in helping match their resumes and skills to companies seeking candidates.

and civilian workplace information that is new to the candidates.

Throughout the M2M training the CAMPS team is continually monitoring, assessing and supporting the candidates to help them

Career Pathway Events

Skills Translation Models have been developed that match approximately

140 military jobs to manufacturing jobs, helping candidates understand how

their skills are transferrable and civilian hiring managers understand how

military skills apply to their open positions

Standard Work Tasks have been developed outlining over 40 common

manufacturing and supply chain jobs. These are developed in a career

progressive standard task list of manufacturing positions and career

pathways, advancement opportunities requiring increasing skills, and

education and training programs available locally and online

$250 per candidate, paid by C2C for (C2C enrolled personnel)








The overarching goal in providing this enhanced educational fellowship

opportunity with select industry partners is to provide a transition service

that currently does not exist, and provides education, networking, training

opportunities, and potential employment within a wider array of industries, for

a more senior, and more experienced veteran.

Currently the focus on hiring veterans at the corporate level has been internships after

transition, networking events, career fairs, and current trends in talent acquisition.

There is a need for transition services that adequately provide better support and address the

needs of junior to mid-grade officers, and senior non-commissioned officers with a broad

spectrum of leadership and multi-echelon operational experience.

In order to better align our Servicemembers with the mission of finding veteran talent, the

Heroes Corporate Fellowship Academy would take active duty Servicemembers who are

within the transition process, screen them, vet them through the potential business partner,

train and educate them, then integrate them into the fellowship program within the select

business.

Program Education Snapshot: Beyond the Corporate Experience

The academy will begin with a week of intense curriculum, which will prepare you for

the corporate setting. Throughout the remaining 12 weeks of training, you will spend

much of your time gaining important hands on knowledge with our corporate

partners, while each four-day week will culminate with additional in classroom

corporate training each Thursday. The classroom training will be organized and

facilitated by a vetted, and accredited corporate training provider, and is fully funded by

C2C.

Week 1 – The class will begin with 40 hours of in classroom training, hosted on JBLM. It will

prepare you for your transition, and ultimately maximize your experience with our corporate

partners. The week will include further development of your skills in networking, interviewing,

resume development, and other topics such as Lean Six Sigma (white belt certification).

Week 2 through 13 – As a fellow you would begin training with your assigned corporate

partner, which will include a project, and opportunities to network with different divisions in

the company. You will spend Monday through Wednesday with your corporate partner. Each

four-day week will culminate on Thursday with an additional full day in the classroom. Each

training module will provide the opportunity for you and the other fellows to tackle

additional disciplines, such as business writing, project management, Microsoft office, and many

other topics to ensure your success in the corporate setting.

At the end of each four–day week, and as a way to kick start everyone's ongoing classroom

learning, the U.S. Chamber Foundation will host a “fellowship huddle” with senior level guest

speakers. This will allow you and your fellows in he cohort to continue making the

connection between your military experience and the new world you have entered, while

learning from key corporate leaders in civilian sectors.
