COURSE OVERIEW Our Advanced Diploma is grounded in Hatha Yoga and strongly influenced by the ancient teachings of Gheranda Samhita, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Shiva Samhita and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. The Yoga practice we teach is also informed and influenced by Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharya, the father of “modern Yoga”, yoga teacher, ayurvedic healer and scholar and one of the most influential Yoga teachers of the 20th century.

You will explore and develop your understanding of the science of Yoga and the Yogic lifestyle as you learn to become a Specialist Yoga Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga. You will discover how yoga can enhance your sense of body awareness, how to use the breath to heal and maintain wellbeing and learn the skill of maintaining a balanced state of mind. You will gain a deeper understanding of yourself and others and how to use the tools of Yoga for optimum health and wellbeing.

RTO ENTRY REQUIREMENTSStudents should have completed Year 12 (or equivalent) or successfully passed an LLN test. Students should be at least 18 years of age. Younger applicants are welcome to apply and entry will be at the discretion of the RTO. 12 months of regular yoga practice is recommended.

PATHWAYSThis course will provide you with the skills and knowledge that can be applied to other career paths, including work as a Counsellor, Massage Therapist, Naturopath, Physiotherapist, Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, Chiropractor and many more. 7 units in this Advanced Diploma credit into our HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage reducing the workload and cost by 33%.
