Posterior Leg
X-Fiber:
1. Gluteus medius - inferior of the iliac crest and out to the greater trochanter
2. Gluteus maximus - along the edge of the sacrum
3. Piriformis - from sacrum (lateral) to the greater trochanter
4. Hamstrings - attachments at the ischial tuberosity down to attachments at the medial tibia
and lateral fibula
5. Adductors - from origin at pubic ramus, continuing down medial femur to tibial
attachment
6. Tensor fascia latae & iliotibial tract - (working from the opposite side of table) from
origin at iliac crest (behind ASIS), down the outside of the leg past the knee through the
fibularis muscles ending at the ankle
7. Gastrocnemius - separating and working individual heads starting at the medial and
lateral epicondyles just above the knee and continuing to insertion at Achilles tendon
8. Achilles Tendons - working both sides
9. Plantar Foot - knuckle/ elbow X-Fiber foot
Apply Oil
1. With one hand on top of the other, press down distally from ischial tuberosity.
2. With one thumb on top of the other, press down inferiorly from ischial tuberosity.
3. With alternating hands, effleurage up hamstrings
4. Gluteals:

5. With one hand on top of the other, effleurage deeply up the hamstrings.

7. Deeply fan hamstring origins at ischial tuberosity
8. Palm knead toward the heart moving distally down hamstrings

11. With knee bent: Palm knead proximally along the iliotibial tract.
12. Palm the iliotibial tract (with knee bent or elbow on your hip)

crease.
15. Palm knead the fibularis muscles (peroneals)
16. With hands on calf, squeeze circle along fibularis muscles (peroneals) with thumbs
and fingers using a lifting up motion.

Alternating hands, cross pull/wring gastrocnemius
Clasping hands, squeeze circles down both sides of calf with heals of hands
18. Place foot back on table:
Wring foot
Pull and rotate the distal leg
19. Straddling your partner:
Make small quick circles on the gluteals from the sacroiliac to the ischial
tuberosity.
Make slower, bigger circles on the gluteals from the iliac crest to the greater
trochanter.

Anterior Leg Recipe
X-Fiber
1. Quadriceps to insertion at Tibial Tuberosity
2. Adductors to Femur & Gracilis insertion at Tibia
3. Tensor Fasiae Latae
4. Iliotibial Tract
5. With foot flat of table, apply compression at Sartorius
6. With knee bent, X-Fiber the Iliacus
7. Tibialis Anterior & Fibularis muscles
8. Tendons at the Retinaculum of Ankle
9. Dorsal Foot
Apply oil
10. With one hand on top of the other effleurage up thigh
11. Quadriceps:

18. Pressing down with one hand and up with the other separate the metatarsals

Upper Back Recipe
X-Fiber
1. Levator Scapula from the opposite side
2. Upper Trapezius and Supraspinatus from same side
3. Rhomboids
4. Subscapularis
5. Serratus Anterior
6. Lower Trapezius
7. Circles on Infraspinatus
8. Skin Roll back parallel to spine
9. Skin Roll back perpendicular to spine
10. Place one hand on hip, the other under the scapula, stretch side of body
11. With hands crossed, place one hand on sacrum, the other hand parallel to spine moving
superiorly with each stretch
12. With hands crossed place one hand on iliac crest, the other hand on the opposite scapula
for a diagonal stretch
Apply Oil and Effleurage Back
13. With elbow supported on your hip, knuckle out the Supraspinatus and Upper Trapezius
14. Upper Trapezius: Palm, knuckle, trench
15. Supraspinatus: Palm, knuckle, trench
16. Rhomboids: Palm, knuckle, trench, thumb, iron
17. Infraspinatus: Palm, knuckle, trench, thumb, iron
18. Trench up along the vertebral border of scapula and hook fingers around upper trapezius
and pull down shoulder

Back Recipe 2
1. Skin roll parallel to spine
2. Skin roll perpendicular to spine
3. Place one hand on client’s hip, another hand under their scapula to stretch the side
4. With your hands crossed, one hand above ilium the other hand moves up the back
stretching every few inches as you work your way up the side of the spine
X-Fiber
1. Levator scapula from opposite side
2. Supraspinatus & upper trapezius from same side, use elbow between
supraspinatus & trapezius
3. Rhomboids
4. Infraspinatus starting at the root of the spine of the scapula compress small circles
5. Serratus anterior
6. Erector spinae superior to inferior
7. Quadratus lumborum
Apply Oil
1. Erector Spinae: Palm, knuckle, trench, thumb, iron
2. Petrissage Teres Major, Teres Minor, Latissimus Dorsi attachments on axillary border
3. Hold arm perpendicular to torso: Palm, knuckle, trench, blade axillary area
4. Alternating hands, palm knead the Erectors away from the spine
5. From opposite side knuckle & trench Latissimus Dorsi
6. Trench along 12th
rib and Iliac Crest from opposite side
7. Quadratus Lumborum: Palm, knuckle, trench, thumb, iron, continue over glutes
Repeat on second side
On the table:
8. Using fists stroke up Erectors to Neck and out Upper Trapezius
9. Using fingers press rub between each spinous process

10. Using fingers make small circles on either side of spine working your way up the back
11. Using fists make larger circles on either side of spine working your way up the back

Abdomen
1. Gently rock the torso
2. Deep cross-pull of lattissimus dorsi
3. Alternately push with heel of hand and pull with fingers along rectus abdominis
4. Using fingers, make quick compressions in the direction of peristalsis
5. With gentle pressure, press into solar plexus with palm of hand
6. Using right hand first and following with left, stroke around abdomen in concentric
circles
7. Use loose fist to make circles over navel
8. With fingers, stroke superiorly from pelvic bone
9. With fingers and thumb, grab and lift rectus abdominus
10. With one hand over the other, vibrate lightly over navel
Neck
1. Cradle head in hand, unilateraly use knuckles to stroke Trap/ SCM from Mastoid Process
to Acromion
2. X-Fiber Upper Trapezius attachments
3. With fingers, make circles over transverse process of each cervical vertebrae
4. With hands on both sides of head, alternately push transverse processes laterally with
fingers
5. X-Fiber Levator Scapula at superior angle of Scapula
6. Using the flat of finger, X-Fiber Splenius Capitus, Trapezius, and Levator Scapula
attachments on neck
7. Use fingers to X-Fiber Scalenes
8. Cervical rock, Head is cradled in hands begin with fingers at C7, press up with fingers,
then rock head back to heel of hand, place fingers at C6, rock, C5 and so on
9. Cradling head in palm of hand, rotate the head while keeping the neck straight

Chest & Arms
X-Fiber Chest:
1. Pectoralis Major: Working on opposite side of table, attachments along sternum and
below clavicle
2. Pectoralis Minor: Come to same side, go underneath pectoralis major to access pectoralis
minor at the coracoid process attachment to the bicipital groove and the greater and lesser
tubercles
3. Intercostals
X-Fiber Arms:
4. Head of humerus working greater, lesser tubercles & bicipital groove
5. Deltoids
6. Biceps and Triceps on olecranon process and head of radius
7. Extensors & Flexors attachments at medial & lateral epicondyles of humerus
8. Extensors & Flexors on forearm working proximally to wrist, palm and fingers
9. Tendons at the retinaculum of wrist
10. Hand including Flexor Pollicis.
Repeat on other side
Chest:
Apply Oil
1. Begin with cross pull up back from sacrum (when hand is near scapula, place second
hand at sternum below clavicle, palm out from sternum to shoulder while cross pulling
back)
2. Palm Pectoralis Major from sternum to shoulder, then knuckle
3. Thumb from clavicle to axilla (arms framing the head)
4. Working on same side of table, petrassage Pectorals

5. Palm below clavicle again, then carry the stroke over the deltoids pulling hand over hand
along upper traps & up strenocleidomastoid to mastoid process,
Repeat on other side
Arms:
Apply Oil
6. Deltoids: Palm, knuckle, trench and thumb
7. Biceps Brachii: Palm, knuckle, trench and thumb
8. Triceps Brachii: Palm, knuckle, trench and thumb
9. Flexors and Extensors of the arm: Palm, knuckle, trench and thumb
10. With interlocked fingers thumb the palm.
11. Pull, squeeze and rotate each finger.
