Neighbourhood House Week 2017Small Grant Information

Linkwest is providing a number of small grants to encourage Neighbourhood House Week activities in Centres as part of Neighbourhood House Week 2017.

The national theme of Neighbourhood House Week for 2016 is Belonging, which engenders the concept of inclusivity that runs through all our Centres i.e. that anyone and everyone is welcome, and members of the community are encouraged to help in the Centre’s organisation, management and use.

Grants of up to $500 (excl GST) will be available to our Neighbourhood and Community Resource Centres for local activities that celebrate this theme of Belonging.

Terms and Conditions1. To be eligible for a Linkwest Neighbourhood House Week 2017 Small Grant, the

applying Centre must be a full financial member of Linkwest as at 1 January 2017

2. For metropolitan-based Centres, the funded activity must occur during Neighbourhood House Week 1-7 May 2017.

3. For regional Centres with a compelling reason why the funded activity cannot occur during the week of 1 – 7 May e.g. seeding, the funded activity can occur anytime up to 1 June 2017.

4. To be considered for a grant, applicants must meet the Selection Criteria.5. Only 50% of the total event expenditure can be used to cover catering costs. 6. Alcohol costs will not be covered. 7. An organisation may apply for more than one grant (if holding more than one NHW

event), however, only one (1) grant is available per activity or event: this includes activities or events conducted in partnership with other organisations.

8. Each application will be evaluated against the selection criteria, and funding allocated according to the merit of the application.

9. Applications must be made on the Linkwest Neighbourhood House Week 2017 Small Grant application form (included as part of this information pack).

10. Applications can be emailed, posted or hand delivered.11. Applications close 4.00pm Friday 3 March 2017. No late applications will be

accepted.

12. All successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified (via email) by Tuesday 14 March 2017.

13. Grant monies will be transferred via EFT into the organisation’s nominated bank account on or before Wednesday 22 March 2017 and Linkwest will issue a RCTI (Recipient Created Tax Invoice).Note: Linkwest will invoice the organisation for any unreceipted / unspent funds on acquittal.

How to ApplyTo be considered for funding, applicants will be required to outline the proposed activity and address the questions under the following headings:

i. Promotion of the Belonging theme.ii. Activity managementiii. Value for money.

Grant AcquittalAt the conclusion of event/activity, you must acquit the grant by:

i. Supplying Linkwest with copies of all receipts, and ii. Providing a short synopsis iii. Providing good quality digital photos (supplied as separate files) i.e. not

just inserted into your grant acquittal document. iv. Agreeing that your synopsis and / or supplied photos may be used for

promotional purposes by Linkwest. Note: It will be assumed that consent has been received for any photos that are supplied.

This acquittal is due by Thursday 1 June 2017 or

Thursday 29 June (ONLY for those regional centres which had an AGREED delay in the timing of the NHW event: refer T&Cs point 3).

Note: Linkwest will invoice the organisation for any unreceipted / unspent funds on acquittal.
