Adult Faith Formation is pleased to announce a Parish Bible Study. In Pope Benedict s Apostolic Letter of October 11, 2011, he declared that a Year of Faith would begin on October 11, 2012 and conclude on November 24, 2013. This upcoming Year of Faith is a summons to an authentic and renewed conversion to the Lord, the One Savior of the world . The door of faith is opened at one s baptism. With the Parish Bible Study, we have the opportunity to renew the call of our Baptism to enter into a deeper relationship with Christ. Many of us were inspired by Fr. Felix Just as he shared the depth of his knowledge of scripture and church history during our Lenten Mondays and Summer Series. We are blessed to have Fr. Felix return to St. Timothy as the cornerstone of our Parish Bible Study. Fr. Felix will be joined by Randy Lopez. Randy studied under Fr. Felix at Loyola Marymount and earned a Master s Degree in Theology. This team promises to bring a wealth of knowledge to anyone interested in learning more about scripture. These evenings also promise a sense of community and fellowship for all. Felix Just, Ph.D is a member of the California Province of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), is Director of Biblical Education at the Loyola Institute for Spirituality in Orange, CA. After receiving his Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from Yale University, he taught at Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles), the University of San Francisco, and Santa Clara University, and was also director of the Center for Religion and Spirituality at LMU for several years. He now regularly teaches course s for LMU Extension, the Ecclesia program of Mount St. Mary s College (Los Angeles), the Lay Ecclesial Ministry and Deacon Formation programs of the Diocese of Las Vegas, and t he Catholic Bible Institutes of several dioceses in California. Randy Lopez , M.A. received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theological Studies from Loyola Marymount University, and a Master s Degree in Theological Studies from the Jesuit School of Theolo gy. His academic research has focused primarily on the New Testament, especially on the Gospel of John. With ten years of teaching experience at the high school level, he is currently teaching religious studies at Santa Margarita Catholic High School. Adult Faith Formation is pleased to announce a Parish Bible Study.

Fr. Felix Just, Ph.D

is a member of the California Province of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), is Director of Biblical Education at the Loyola Institute for Spirituality in Orange, CA.
