FACILITY HIGHLIGHTS & ISSUES SUMMARY

I. Programs/Activities & Events:

• Spring session began on January 2nd

• New Pottery Class Program began on January 6th

• Monthly Senior Advisory Board Meeting was held on January 9th

• Town Hall Meeting hosted by Vice Mayor Lago was held on January 30th

• Coral Gables Players held a Drama Recital on January 31st

II. Personnel & Staffing:

• Volunteer Instructors began their classes for the Spring session

• Preparations and rehearsals have begun for the Variety Show

III. Maintenance:

• Wall divider latch in classroom #1 is not securing properly

• Bottom panel of wall divider in classroom #1 needs repair due to wear and tear

IV. Supervisory:

• Staff was given their bi-weekly schedule

• Assistant Supervisor Manuel Guerrero returned from Paternity Leave on January 2nd

• Newsletters and flyers are printed weekly for promotional material.

• Reconnects were sent periodically for reminders and cancellations of classes/events

• Planning has begun for the Annual Luncheon

Monthly Report – February 2020



• Monthly Senior Advisory Board Meeting was held on February 6th

• The Downtowner Concert Series held a Valentines theme concert on February 7th

• New Soul Collage Experience was introduced on February 8th

• Learn to use Freebee Workshop was given on February 12th

• Autism Speaks Pathway to Employment Seminar was facilitated on February 18th

• Lunch & Learn for February 24th was postponed (TBD)

• Second Annual Variety Show was held on February 28th


• Preparations have begun for the Annual Luncheon

• In-Service Training was held Feb. 11th with a guest from Development and Training

leading an employee focus group.

III. Maintenance:



• Requested software training from TRANE to operate the A/C unit.

IV. Supervisory:


• Held scheduled meetings for potential new programming

• Both Supervisors attended a Procurement/EDEN Training on February 27th
