FROM THE PASTOR Dear Parishioners, Today we have the parable of the Jewish wedding with the 10 bridesmaids, 5 were wise and 5 were foolish. The wise ones had oil stocks to keep their lamps lit. As we near the end of the liturgical year our readings look towards the end mes and encourage us to be prepared and ready for the final coming of the Lord. So let us be prepared spiritually at all mes so that when our divine groom comes to take us, we will be ready. Masses for just this weekend are in the Elementary school gym because the High school gym is being re-sealed and there will be chairs on the floor for the elderly. Please check further in this bullen for the Belaire Cove financial report. Thanks for your good stewardship. The crosses are now on top of Belaire Cove Chapel. FROM THE PASTOR Dear Parishioners, Today we have the parable of the Jewish wedding with the 10 bridesmaids, 5 were wise and 5 were foolish. The wise ones had oil stocks to keep their lamps lit. As we near the end of the liturgical year our readings look towards the end times and encourage us to be prepared and ready for the final coming of the Lord. So let us be prepared spiritually at all times so that when our divine groom comes to take us, we will be ready.

Masses for just this weekend are in the Elementary school gym because the High school gym is being re-sealed and there will be chairs on the floor for the elderly.

Please check further in this bulletin for the Belaire Cove financial report. Thanks for your good stewardship. The crosses are now on top of Belaire Cove Chapel. I must add that Dale Guil-lory who did so much for Belaire Cove Chapel was waiting for the crosses to be put up and he died that night they went up. May he rest in peace! The crosses are beautiful. This was the main part of the Belaire Cove Diocesan Capital Campaign.

Don’t forget to vote on Saturday, November 18th.

Thanks for supporting the Baby Bottle Campaign. Sacred Heart and Belaire Cove collected over $1,441.00.

This month we celebrate 28 years of our Perpetual Adora-tion Chapel. Thanks to all that have supported it! It takes a lot of people for perpetual adoration so please consider joining in by tak-ing an hour.

If anyone wants to sign up for the Men’s ACTS Retreat you can still get on a waiting list.

As far as the church renovations, ceiling tiles are going up quickly and next will be the hanging lights.

The Catholic Daughters will begin collecting toys on Satur-day, November 25th for their annual Christmas Toy Drive. The col-lection box will be in the high school foyer for weekend Masses and in the church office Monday-Friday during office hours.

On Sunday, November 19th at 6:30pm in the high school gym we will have an ecumenical Thanksgiving service. Various Protestant denominations will be joining us. I encourage all of you to come out and show your support. This is not a Mass, so you will have to go to Mass before. Let’s show our unity as Christians! Sincerely in Christ,

Fr. Thomas Voorhies

The Reverend Billy Graham tells of a time

early in his ministry when he arrived in a small

town to preach a revival meeting. Wanting to mail a letter, he asked a young boy where the post office was. When the boy had

told him, Dr. Graham thanked him and said, “If you’ll come to the church this evening, you can hear me

give directions on how to get to heaven.”

“I don’t think I’ll be there,” the boy replied. “You don’t even know how to get to the post office.”
