The technology experience for Denver Montessori Junior/Senior High School is designed to support maximum time for teachers and students to work together creating these real world experiences.

Cloud Scheduling

Students are invited via Google Calendar to lesson

Students are able to see all lessons being presented so that they can schedule themselves into lesson

Advisors are easily able take attendance at each level

Electronic Portfolio

CAS and CCST Standards

All lessons are mapped to related standards.

Attendance at lessons will automatically update portfolio to show that the student has been “introduced” to the standard.

All updates will have a date included.

Electronic Portfolio

All assignments will also be mapped to the Standards.

All work turned in will demonstrate a “Making Progress” indicator on the Electronic Portfolio

Literary and narrative texts develop a controlling idea or theme with

descriptive and expressive language

Students can:

a. Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, well chosen details, and well-structured event sequences.

1. Engage and orient the reader by setting out a problem, situation , or observation, establishing one or multiple point(s) of view, and introducing a narrator and/or characters; create a smooth procession of experiences or events.

Electronic Portfolio

When assigned work has been evaluated as complete, the advisor will indicate “proficient” on the related standard.

Mastery work will include a link from the portfolio to the work.

Advisors and students will work together insure mastery level work is included in the portfolio

Google Apps

Google Apps is a cloud based application

Students are able to access their work from any location that has internet

Includes word processing, spread sheet, and presentation formats.

Technology Support

There will be a one to one ratio of students and internet accessible devices (MacBooks, PCs and Ipads).

DPS has assured us that we will have sufficient band-with so that all students can be on-line at once if that event should ever occur
