In December 2012, Unity College became the first institution of higher education to divest from investments in fossil fuels, kicking off a growing national movement.

Unity is the only college with a total focus on sustainability science, the leading edge approach to global environmental problem solving.

The TerraHaus residence on Unity’s campus is the first college residence hall in the nation built to the Passive House standard, representing the highest international standard for energy efficiency.
