This Admission Prospectus & Application Form is valid for

Amity University Uttar Pradesh Campuses in Noida &Lucknow, Amity University Rajasthan Campus in Jaipur,Amity University Haryana Campus in Gurgaon (Manesar)

Annexure - 1 lists all the programmes offered withthe eligibility criteria, procedure for admission & feestructure. Reservation policy for admission will be asper the prevailing law.

3. Completing the Application Form

3.1 Fill in the Application Form only if you satisfyyourselves about your eligibility for admissionto the programme.

3.2 If you have appeared in a qualifying examinationand the result thereof is awaited, you can applyprovisionally to go through admission processat your own risk.

3.3 The Application Form has to be filled in yourown handwriting in black ink and undertaking isto be signed by you only.

3.4 The instructions in the Application Form areself-explanatory. Please follow them strictly.

3.5 It is mandatory to provide your email address(clearly) as it will be used by the AdmissionOffice for any communication.

3.6 Please do not attach any Mark sheets / Testimonials with the Application Form at this

stage. Only Foreign students/ Foreign UniversityDegree holders should attach photocopies ofacademic transcripts & AIU EquivalenceCertificate. University / Board / Marks filled in theApplication Form will be considered for allprocedures related to admission. Any discrepancyfound during original document verification willresult in cancellation of Admission

3.7 It may be noted that no request for change in the

particulars filled in the Application Form by youwill be entertained under any circumstances.

3.8 A sample copy of a complete Application Formis enclosed for your reference.

5.3 Admission Process at Campus

5.3.1 After confirmation on your AdmissionMicrosite about receipt of your Form,it will normally be processed within 5working days.

5.3.2 Qualifying candidates will be informedabout the date, time and venue of

Admission Procedure (written testand/or Group Discussion and/orInterview) on the Admission Micrositeon the website www.amity.edu or in theAmity Mobile App. available atwww.amity.edu/app. In certain cases,options of dates will be available givinggreater flexibility to you. It is yourresponsibility to check the website. Noseparate communication may be

sent in this regard. If a short listedcandidate fails to select the date (forwhich various options will be madeavailable) and admission to theparticular programme is closed, it will behis/her responsibility.

5.3.3 The Admission procedure may last tilllate in the evening. You are requestedto make Travel ing & boardingarrangements on your own. Traveling

instructions to the campus and contactdetails of accommodation in the vicinityare at www.amity.edu/admission.

5.3.4 The Admission Procedure for PostGraduate & Undergraduate Programmeswill start from Jan / May 2012,respectively.

5.4 Offer of Admission

5.4.1 An email will be sent to you to intimateannouncement of result on yourAdmission microsite. This will be forinformation only and should not be takenas official communication for selection.

5.4.2 All selected candidates will getintimation of their selection through anAdmission Letter which will be sentthrough post / courier. Admission Lettercan also be printed from AdmissionMicrosite. Details regarding payment offees at the time of admission, allotment

of Hostel and date, time and venue forcommencement of the academicsession will be mentioned in theadmission letter.

4. Submitting the Application Form

4.2 Incomplete Forms will be rejected. No additionsubsequently will be allowed and a new Formhas to be submitted in this case. The Form costwill not be refunded for any reason whatsoever.

5. Procedure for Admission

5.1 To check / do the following relating to yourAdmission, visit your Admission micrositewww.amity.edu (admission microsite login) by

using your Form No. & password printed on 1stpage of your Application Form.

• Check whether your Form has beenreceived or not

• Check the Registration Status of your Form• Check whether you have been short-listed

for the Admission Procedure• Choose the date for appearing in the

Admission Procedure• Check your selection status• Check selection letter• Check confirmation of fee payment after

payment5.2 Annexure-1 gives details about the Admission

procedure for each programme (whether there willbe a Written Test, Group Discussion, Interview, etc)

5.4.3 Offer of admission will be valid only for

the specific programme opted by the

candidate as well as for the same

academic session. Admission may be

given provisionally as may be specified

in the letter. The offer of admission will

automatically stand cancelled if the

conditions are not fulfilled by thespecified time.

5.4.4 There is a possibility that the Admission

admission in a category / programme /

campus for which you have not applied

in the application Form. In such cases an

option will be given to you on your

admission microsite informing you of

the change and you may give yourconsent for the same. The selection

letter will be couriered to you only after

receiving your consent.

5.4.5 Failure to pay the fee within the specified

date or report for classes after payment of

fee will entail cancellation of admission.

6. Scholarships

Scholarship-cum-Fast Track Admission for Programmes after 10+2

Direct Admission without appearing in Admission

Selection Process and academic fee scholarship for

the first year of the programme, will be offered to the

candidates who meet the following eligibility :

• 100% Scholarship - 93% aggregate and above


• 25% Scholarship - 80% aggregate and above(Only for Jaipur, Lucknow & Gwalior Campuses)

(excluding Physical Education / Fine Arts / Perfoming

Arts / vocational / non written subjects) in CBSE or

ICSE of Class XII 2012.

• Direct Admission is not applicable for B.Arch ,

BBA LL.B. and B.Com. LL.B. programmes at

Noida Campus. Limited scholarship seats are

available which will be offered after joining the

programme.

• Direct Admission is not applicable at Jaipur

Campus

Scholarship for Programmes after Graduation


(excluding Physical Education / Fine Arts /

Perfoming Arts / vocational / non written subjects)

in CBSE or ICSE of Class XII and 80% in Graduation


(excluding Physical Education / Fine Arts / Perfoming Arts / vocational / non written

subjects) in CBSE or ICSE of Class XII and 75% in

Graduation

• 20% Scholarship - CAT (85 Percentile) / MAT

Score -700 and above (All MBA Programmes-

only for Jaipur, Lucknow & Gwalior campus)

For Jaipur, Lucknow, Gurgaon (Manesar) and

Gwalior Campuses, State Boards Examination

Scores are also eligible for the scholarships as

per above mentioned percentages of marks.

Continuation of scholarship will be as per the

scholarship policy of Amity University. For details

These Scholarships do not include,

• Refundable Security Deposit

• Boarding and Lodging Cost

• Cost of Netbook (wherever applicable)

Scholarship seats are limited. The mentioned

percentages are only the eligibility to apply for

scholarship. Candidates securing above

percentages are required to fill Amity Application

form. In absence of relevant mark sheets

scholarship application will not be considered.

Final decision of granting scholarship is with the

Scholarship Committee.

7. Admission of Foreign and NRI students

For admission to specific programmes, the

requirement of subjects studied will be same for both

National / Foreign Students / NRI as prescribed in the

Admission Prospectus.

Eligibility for Admission to Graduate Programmes:

For any discipline, applicant must have completed 12

years of formal schooling. Students meeting the

eligibility criteria as prescribed in the Admission

prospectus would be considered for admission.

week from the date of admission from a

Registered Medical Practitioner OR a Medical

Practitioner nominated by Amity University.

register themselves with the concerned District

Foreigners Registration Officer / Foreigners

Regional Registration Officers, within 14 days of

your first arrival in India.

The following documents are required at the time of

registration with the Foreigners Registration Officer:

• Photocopy of Passport and visa

• Four Photographs

• Details of residence in India

• HIV / AIDS Test Report from one of the WHO

recognized Institutions

• Provisional Admission Letter from Amity

University in support of your student visa.

8. Procedure for Withdrawal

Before commencement of Programme

Application for withdrawal from the programme is to

be sent to the Admission office.

After commencement of Programme

Application for withdrawal from the programme is to

be submitted to the Academic department of the

respective institution.

No withdrawal will be processed during admission

time, March to August 2012.

9. Anti Ragging Measures

Ragging is totally banned in Amity University

campus including its departments, constituent units,

all its premises (academic, residential, sports,

canteen etc.) whether located within the campus or

outside and in all means of transportation of students

whether public or private, and anyone found guilty of

ragging and/or abetting ragging is liable to be

punished appropriately.

They should have cleared TOEFL with 213 in CBT or 550

in paper based test or can have a band of 6.5 in IELTS.

Evidence of required academic performance must be in

the form of certified English transcripts listing all the

courses with grades or marks earned. Transcripts in

languages other than English are not acceptable.

Eligibility for Admission to Post Graduate

Programmes:

For any discipline, applicant must have completed 12

years of formal education at the school level followed

by a Bachelor's Degree of at least 3 years duration.

Students meeting the eligibility criteria as prescribed

in the Admission prospectus would be considered for

admission. However, the admission to post graduate

courses is rather restricted and the applicant should

have an excellent academic record to stand a fair

chance for admission.PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING AND SEEKING

EQUIVALENCE CERTIFICATE:

Admission Application Form of Foreign / NRI

students must have an Equivalence Certificate from

the Association of Indian Universities (AIU),

www.aiuweb.org.

The students are advised to send the following

documents to the Association of Indian Universities

for obtaining Equivalence Certificate:

1. Degree/Certificate together with the year-wise

Academic Transcript duly authenticated by the

Indian Embassy in the Country or its concerned

Foreign Mission in India.

2. Accreditation status of the University/Institute

which the student has last attended.

3. Copies of the academic Certificates from Higher

Secondary onwards (where necessary)

The SERVICE CHARGE for issue of Equivalence

Certificate as applicable is payable through Demand

Draft in favour of “Association of Indian Universities,

New Delhi”.

The onus of Certification for Equivalence from AIU is

on the candidate and application will be considered

only after the Equivalence Certificate is submitted.

Provisional Offer of Admission will be given to short

listed applicants subject to confirmation based onthe following:

EDUCATION LOANS

For Allahabad Bank

A tie-up has now being linked with Allahabad Bank. The entire scheme for the benefit of the student

is available at the link http://www.allahabadbank.com/education.asp All campuses of AMITY have

been covered by Allahabad Bank for online sanction of loans. The prospective students can fill the

application online for his/her proposed Amity Campus. The bank would accord a provisional sanction

normally within 48 hours. The online application form is available at the following link;

Education Loans have become the preferred method of financing one's education, and thousands of

students at Amity are studying on Education Loans.

A big benefit is that you only have to start repaying one year after finishing your course or 6 months afteryou get a job.

Getting an education loan is very simple. But Amity has made it even easier by tying up with premier

nationalized banks-Oriental Bank of Commerce and Allahabad Bank to guarantee Education Loans to any

student who gets admission in Amity University.

Also Amity has a special Education Loan Processing Cell where dedicated and experienced Education Loan

• Dual Degree - Both the degrees will be given after completing the duration of the programme. There will be no exit option.

• Compartment cases will not be considered.

FEE NOTES : • Refundable Academic Securit y Deposit of Rs. 20,000/- has to be paid at the time of admission.

• The Fee mentioned is for the 1st semester only and will increase by approximately 5% every year. Each Academic year is of 2 semesters. Exact fee structure is available on www.amity.edu.

PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BEGIN TO COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION. THE APPLICATION FORM SHOULD BE FILLED IN YOUR OWN CLEAR AND LEGIBLE HANDWRITING AND THE

UNDERTAKING IS TO BE SIGNED BY YOU ONLY.

• Qualifying candidates can select their date for On Campus Admission Process at www.amity.edu(admission microsite login). It is your responsibility to check the website for selection of date and appear in

the Admission Process accordingly. No separate communication will be sent in this regard.

• You are advised to keep a photocopy of the complete application form.

• Incorrectly filled, incomplete, unsigned forms & forms recieved after due date will be rejected.

• Forms once rejected will not be reconsidered & form cost will not be refunded.

• You can not apply more than once for the same programme in one admission year.

• Amity does not take any responsibility for delay or loss of the material in post / transit.

Do not attach any Marksheets / Testimonials with the Application Form at this stage (Only Foreign

students / Foreign University Degree holder should attach photocopies of academic transcripts & AIU

Equivalence Certificate). University / Board / Marks filled in the Application Form will be considered for

all procedures related to admission. Any discrepancy found during original document verification will

result in cancellation of Admission.

We do not accept any donations for admission. Merit is the only criteria.

Any instances found, even at a later date, will lead to cancellation of admission.



TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION

1. Non-Liability: Prospectus Application Form and all other Admission Correspondence will be sent by

Post/Courier. Amity is not responsible for Postal/Courier delays or loss in transit.

2. Non-refund of fees: All fees once paid are not refundable for any reason whatsoever. Only Security Deposit

will be refunded after making necessary adjustments as required.3.1 Cancellation of Admission: Amity reserves its right to cancel the admission of successful candidate under

any of the following circumstances :

(a) If the fees is not deposited by the stipulated date.

(b) If the candidate does not join the particular programme by the stipulated date even though the fee has

been deposited.

(c) If the candidate fails to furnish the proof of the stipulated minimum qualifications.

(d) If any instance of donation/unfair means is found after admission.

(e) If any of the document(s) submitted by you to Amity University is found to be forged, fabricated or false

during the period of your study, your admission shall be cancelled immediately and fees shall be forfeited.

In case you complete the course and obtain the degree on the basis of documents which are later found to

be forged, fabricated or false, at any point of time, your degree shall be cancelled/ recalled.

3.2 Provision of Non Refund of Fees under Clause 2 will also apply in cases under Clauses 3.1 (b) and (c).

4. Right of Alteration/Modification:

(a) Amity reserves its right to alter or modify the structure of any of the programs to attain the objective of

excellence.

(b) Amity reserves its right to change the provided Fee Structure.

(c) Amity reserves its right to modify, alter and/or include any other Terms and Conditions that may be

deemed fit in the interest of the Institution.

5. Jurisdiction: Any dispute pertaining to admission, or any matter as a student or alumnus of Amity shall be

subjected to the jurisdiction of the Delhi Court only.

6. Limitation Clause: No dispute shall be raised after the expiry of 30 days from the date on which the process of

admission and/or selection is completed.

7. Agreement Clause: All successful candidates shall be bound by the above mentioned Terms & Conditions of

Amity.
