YourExamity®dashboardisdividedinto4sections:

1) Courses/Exams:Thisiswhereyouwillgotocreateandedityourexamshell,selectyourFairExam®LevelofOnlineSecurityandtailortherulestomeetyourneeds.

2) Student:Clickthe“Student”tabtosearchstudentenrollmentrecords.

3) ExamStatus:Trackyourstudents’scheduled,completedandproctoredexams.Youwillalsohaveaccesstothevideorecordingsofallproctoredtestsaswellastime-stampedflagsandcomments.

4) Reports:Reviewanalyticsassociatedwithyourexams.

Creating/EditingYourExamShell,SelectingYourFairExam®LevelandTailoringExamRules

First,clickon“Courses/Exams”inyourdashboard.


Next,clickonthestickynoteiconassociatedwithyourcoursetocreateanexam.

Ascreenwillpopupthatistitled“AddExam”.Youwillentertheexamname,durationoftheexam,linktoaccesstheexam,examwindow,andexampassword.MakecertainthisdatamatcheswhatwasenteredinCanvas.


Scrolldowntoseethe“ExamRules”listed.Inthe“AdditionalRules”section,checkallboxesthatapply.Enteranyspecialinstructionsfortheproctorand/orstudentinthe“SpecialInstructions”textbox.

Tosaveinformationenteredinthe“SpecialInstructions”box,click“Save”beforehitting“update.”Proctorsupportwillreadyournotespriortotheexamandmakesureallstudentsadheretothem.

CloningSpecialInstructionsandAdditionalRules

Youcancloneadditionalrulesandspecialinstructionsfrompreviousexamsinyourcourse.

Opentheexamshellinwhichyouwouldliketoaddspecialinstructionsoradditionalrules.Oncetheshellisopen,scrolldownto“AdditionalRules.”

Select‘Yes’inthedropdownmenunextto,“Wouldyouliketore-useadditionalrulesandspecialinstructionsfromapastexam?”


Thenselecttheexaminwhichyouwouldliketocopytheadditionalrulesandspecialinstructions.

To“undo”thecloning,manuallydeletethespecialinstructionsandmanuallyunchecktheadditionalrules.

SpecialAccommodations

Ifstudentsrequiretestaccommodations,youcanmakesureproctorsupportisawareaheadoftimebyenteringtheinformationinExamity®.

First,clickon“Students”ontheExamity®dashboard.


Next,clickonthe“Search”button.

Then,clickonthepenciliconlocatedintherowofthestudentwhorequirestheaccommodation.

Select“Yes”fromthe“SpecialAccommodations”dropdownmenuandentertheappropriateinformation.


TrackingExamStatus:

Checkthestatusofscheduled,completed,andproctoredexamsbyclicking“ExamStatus”intheExamity®dashboard.Youcanseewhichstudentshavecompletedtheirexamsandwhetherornottheyhadanyviolations.Thisisalsowhereyouviewanystudentviolations.

Youcanwatchvideosofyourstudentstakingtheirexamsbyclickingtheblue“View”link.Ifthe“View”linkisnotclickable,thatmeanstheexamhasnotyetbeenaudited.Allexamswillbeauditedwithin48hoursofthestudentcompletingtheexam.

Recordingsareavailablefor30daysandthenremovedfromtheExamity®systemtoensureprivacyforallpartiesinvolved.


TheExamity®flaggingsystemprovidesinstructorswithasnapshotofwhathappenedduringeachtest.

• Greenflagsareraisedwhenthereisnoincident.• Yellowflagsareissuedwhenaruleisbrokenbutcheatingdoesnottakeplace.• Redflagsaregivenwhenthestudentexhibitsclearcheatingbehavior.• Ifatechnicalissuearises,wewillcommunicatethattoyouwithabluealert.

CommunicatingwithYourStudents:

Our“InstructorToolkit”willprovideyouwithtemplatesexplaininghowyourstudentscanpreparethemselvestousethesystem.SimplycopyandpastethetextintoanemailorwithinaCanvasAnnouncement.ThetoolkitisinWordandcustomizabletofityourneeds.
