I see your company had drawn up the plans for the Rochester School #10 project. I was asked to quote the filming in the project and saw three films types in the spec. However I did not see anything in the drawings or alternatives section calling out the films? Could you possibly help or direct me to the person in charge of this particular project so I could pose the question? I appreciate your business and any help you can provide.

Please clarify if any moisture control system should be carried in the general contractor’s base bid. We interpret UC-10 will only be utilized if the concrete slabs exceed the manufacturers allowable relative humidity and this price would be an add to our base bid contract. Please confirm if this is the intent.

Moisture mitigation is not a part of the projects base scope and it will only be added (via change order) when the relative humidity of the concrete exceeds the flooring manufacturer’s allowable relative humidity. This does not relieve the general contractor from providing a permanent enclosure by the date listed in the project manual. In addition, the owner will enlist a third party to sample the concrete at strategic intervals in order to verify that the relative humidity of the concrete is lowering.

LeChaseAnticipated duration of temporary heating will be Oct 4th 2019 thru May 1st 2020. New mechanical systems will be turned over to the owner at Substantial Completion.
