Questions and Responses

1. Per page AD1.3, you have two details and both labeled 1/A1.1.

a. Typical Unit Enlarged Unit Plan shall be detail 1, referenced to sheet AD1.1. Accessible

Unit Enlarged Unit Plan shall be detail 2, referenced to sheet AD1.1.

2. Per page AD1.3, are kitchen walls being removed for “Accessible unit” room plan?

a. Yes, the kitchen wall is being removed to accommodate new kitchen layout.

3. Did not see an elevation detail for vinyl siding removal, coded note D9 on page AD1.2.

a. The area of vinyl siding removal can be seen on South Elevation detail 4 (detail number

corrected) on sheet A3.1, which was released with Addendum #3 by SMHA.

4. Are pictures of inside available for view?

a. Yes, pictures were released with Addendum #3 by SMHA.

5. The exhaust for the kitchen and bath are specified with oval vents. Can you verify what the

existing exhaust is?

a. Existing exhausts are oval vents, are to be replaced in kind.

6. Can you please clarify on the insurance requirements on whether or not the general contractor

is responsible for carrying Professional Liability? Our insurance company is stating that this is

normally carried by consultants.

a. General contractors are not required to carry professional liability insurance.

7. Do you have new bidding documents for these projects? Bidding documents only say Materials,

Labor and total cost. They should have listed alternates on them.

a. Revised bid sheet is provided by SMHA as part of this addendum.

Additional Information

1. An electrical conduit shall be provided, concealed underground, from the main entrance to the

location of the site sign at the front of the property. Additional information provided on sheet

AS1.0.

2. A door schedule, sheet A8.1, is provided with this addendum.

3. Project will be submitted for building permit when schedule becomes defined for contractors to

access site given the current COVID-19 health emergency.

4. Drawing MP001, SH-1 and SH-2 were listed as the same product. SH-1 shall be Stream33 A2

Composite Tub S33A2-6030CT with E.L. Mustee 500 Durawall Fiberglass Bathtub Wall. SH-2

shall be Best Bath System’s Barrier Free Model 5LES6331E1B with T-Shaped Rubber Water

Stopper. All tub sizes shall be field verified with existing conditions.

5. Included is a revised drawing title sheet updating all pages current release dates.

8. How many Tabs should be included in the bid 13 (pg 9) or 14 (pg 10)?a. There are 14 tabs as shown on page 10 and the Form of Bid.
