Adaptabel single stroke bells produce an individual, clearly defined

note. When current is applied, the striker hits the gong once and

stops. Coded, intermittent current may be used to cause the striker to

hit the gong, pause and hit again for any given period. Ideal for use

with momentary initiating contacts.

Universal Adaptaplate® mounts directly on surface or fits any

single-gang box, 3 1/4" (83 mm), 3 1/2" (89 mm), or 4 " (102 mm)

octagon box, or any plaster cover with mounting holes on 2 3/4" (70

mm) centers. 6" and 10" bells also mount on 4" (102 mm) square

boxes. See accessories on page 5-10.

Specified for timing, scheduling, paging and general alarm applica-

tions. 4" (102 mm) sizes recommended for quiet office areas. 6" (152

mm) sizes for moderate noise level areas such as general factory ar-

eas. 10" (254 mm) sizes for loud areas such as heavy machine shops.

The Edwards 660 Series are compact, strap-mounted buzzers and

bells designed for flush mounting in standard electrical boxes.

Designed for installation in standard outlet boxes. Requires a 590

transformer (page 11-2) and push button. Transformer and

pushbutton may be mounted in same 3 gang outlet box with a mini-

mum depth of 1 3/4" (44 mm) using a Cat. No. 593 transformer

mounting plate (page 11-4).

Edwards B-8698 & B-8699 AdaptaBuzzers are the finest, heavy

duty buzzers available. Sound is produced by the hammer action of

a vibrating armature against the cover and starts and stops instantly

with current impulse. The cover is secured to the unit's cast box by

a cast aluminum threaded ring and sealed with a neoprene gasket.

Two mounting lugs are provided for wall mounting. A 1/2" (13mm)

tapped conduit entrance is provided on one side for field wiring. Wir-

ing connections are made in the base and the cover assembly plugs

into a receptacle in the base.

Ideal for use in areas where a louder signal would be distracting.

Often used for timing, scheduling, paging, and general alarm appli-

cations. Typical indoor and weatherproof installations include con-

struction sites, shipping docks, and paper mills.

The Edwards B-KM-8140 & B-8141 series AdaptaBuzzers are qual-

ity, heavy duty AC & DC buzzers designed for use in hazardous lo-

cations. The sound is produced by the hammer action of a vibrating

armature against the cover. The buzzers are provided with two

mounting lugs for wall mounting. A 1/2" (13mm) tapped conduit en-

trance is provided on one side for field wiring. Wiring connections

are made in the base of the unit and the cover assembly plugs into

a receptacle in the base.

The Edwards B-8140-M & B-8141-M Mineguard series are quality,

heavy duty buzzers suitable for use on permissible mining equip-

ment. They are available in AC and DC voltages. The sound is pro-

duced by the hammer action of a vibrating armature against the cast

aluminum cover. A one piece cast aluminum cover provides an effec-

tive explosion-proof seal; the seal is secured by a hex screw in the

cover. For power connections, the unit features an installed 33"

(84mm) power cord and conduit hose constructed of flame retardant

neoprene. The buzzer is provided with two mounting lugs for wall

mounting.

For use in all mining applications. Designed to withstand the con-

stant vibration associated with mining equipment such as loaders,

Edwards Lumatone signals are designed to demand attention in

quiet and moderate noise areas. The signal’s output can be varied

by controlling the applied voltage. The signal’s low power consump-

tion makes them suitable for battery operated equipment and allows

them to be turned on and off by integrated circuits, SCRs and tran-

sistors.

Simply unscrew front housing and insert threaded portion through a

1 5/32" (29mm) panel hole. Screw front housing back on. Signal can

accommodate panel thickness up to 3/16" (5mm).
