Adana City Hospital will ensure continuity of all operational activities even in the course of and after the greatest earthquake that may be experienced in relevant geography thanks to its triple friction pendulum type of seismic isolators.

Thus, healthcare services will be provided in uninterrupted and secure manner to tens of thousands people to be hosted everyday.

After completion of this great health campus, the structure will be granted with the title of “World’s greatest base isolated structure” with 1.512 isolators.

Adana City Hospital will be counted among the few hospitals in its location and worldwide with its capacity of 1.550 beds and gross building area of ~540.000m2, as well as serving with high-tech medical equipment of global standards.

The hospital consists of 292-bed general hospital, 340-bed Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital, 182-bed Oncology Hospital, 185-bed Cardiology and Cardiovascular Hospital. Furthermore, 180 intensive care units and 55 operating rooms will be available for the needs of the region.

When the project is completed, 15.500 patients, 1.000 of whom are the emergency patients will be offered with uninterrupted service by 5.100 personnel among whom 2.650 are medical personnel.

Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital with its 150-bed capacity in the campus is designed to offer Electrotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Psychotherapy, Geriatrics, Rheumatology and similar treatment and rehabilitation services to the outpatients /inpatients with all international standards to be met.

High Security Forensic Psychiatry Hospital to be implemented for the first time in Turkey is composed of special units where treatment of patients posing potential threat to themselves and their environment due to their mental disorders. This hospital will be a qualified structure with its 100 beds where all safety and intervention measures will be taken with respect to the international standards. Located in the center of the Main Hospital Building and providing 5000m2 of outdoor circulation area for

the patients with its length of 375 meters, and will make the inter-departmental passages enjoyable. Having also green spaces and recreational areas within its scope, this intelligent design will offer its users the opportunity to experience outdoors.
