The FastPAC™ series of powdered activated carbons (PACs) is customized specifically for high-efficiency removal of mercury emissions from the flue gases of coal-burning facilities such as power plants, cement kilns, and industrial boilers. The sorbents are produced from lignite coal feedstocks and have been shown to be effective in meeting mercury compliance in full-scale testing at power plants. They have been designed to enhance the kinetics of the capture of mercury in flue gas of units burning coal fuels with ESP particulate removal. Enhancement with fabric filter may also be realized. FastPAC™ is non-brominated, while FastPAC Premium® is brominated for enhanced mercury oxidation. Compared to conventional brominated PACs, FastPAC Premium® has produced up to 60% reduction in carbon usage. Improved mercury removal has also been realized in full-scale utility testing. The FastPAC™ sorbents can also provide for rapid stable foam development in concrete mixes that contain fly ash.

FastPAC Premium 80™ is manufactured specifically for high-effiency removal of mercury emissions from flue gases that contain sulfur trioxide or other acid gases that may inhibit effective mercury removal. This product utilizes select feedstocks and is chemically enhanced under tightly controlled operating conditions. It has been designed for power plants, industrial boilers and kilns burning sub-bituminous coal (including PRB), lignite and waste/biomass fuels.

Fastpac premium 80™

The PowerPAC® series of PACs is specifically designed and optimized for removing mercury emissions from the flue gas of coal-fired boilers. The product utilizes select feedstocks and additives and is produced under tightly controled operating conditions. PowerPAC® is non-brominated and designed for power plants, industrial boilers and kilns that burn highly chlorinated bituminous coal. PowerPAC Premium® is brominated and has been designed for power plants, industrial boilers and kilns burning subbituminous coal (including PRB) and lignite, waste and biomass fuels. PowerPAC Premium Plus™ has enhanced bromination and is designed for units burning coal or biomass fuels with ESP or fabric filter particulate removal.

PowerPAC WS™ is a powdered activated carbon that has been manufactured specifically for stable and efficient removal of mercury emissions from liquid streams, such as in wet scrubbers of coal-fired power plants. It securely promotes capture into the solid phase and helps prevent potential mercury re-emissions into the flue gas stream. This product utilizes select feedstocks and additives to achieve excellent water affinity, and is produced under tightly controlled operating conditions. It is designed specifically for use where effective mercury capture is required required from aqueous environments.
