ACCESSIBILITY IN THE GREEN PARKS ENVIRONMENT

Course Description This session will provide attendees with a thorough background on best practices to achieve the integration of ADA accessibility into parks and recreation facilities, featuring sustainable design elements. Focus will be on sustainable design principles being implemented in parks throughout Ohio as well as on the identification of real life challenges of integrating social sustainability with the physical sustainability elements in newer park designs.

• Understand best practice management for sustainable ADA construction

• Recommendations on creating a strategic partnership among citizens, and public and private sector organizations
