NCSM is an autonomous scientific organization under the Ministry of Culture; Govt. ofIndia invites applications for the following posts:

(a) Curator B - 06 posts (General-2, SC-2, & OBC-2)[1 vacancy will be reserved for PH]

(b) Assistant ExecutiveEngineer 02 posts (Unreserved-1, SC-1)

Scale of pay - PB-3: Rs 15600-39100 with Grade Pay 5400(Total emoluments at shall be Rs 37,000/- (approx) in A-1 cities)

2. Essential qualification & experience :

For post at Sl no. (1)

1st class Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical/ElectronicsOR 1st class M.Sc in Physics with one-year experience inresearch/design/workshop/teaching. OR M.E/M.Tech/Ph.D(Science) in abovedisciplines.


1st class bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 3 years postqualification experience in supervision of construction of large buildings/ Air-conditioning work/Structural work.

3. Job Description :


Design and development of exhibits, audio-visual demonstrations, teaching aids etc.,development of museums section on various subjects of science & technology,organization of educational programmes for different categories; research on historyof science & technology, museum techniques and evaluation of exhibits all pertainingto the developmental activities of the museum/centre. Assisting in day-to-day workand administration of the museum/centre.

Major repair and construction of buildings and installations and/or design, layout,development and maintenance of landscape/greenhouse/gardens/outdoorexhibits/live exhibit corners, air conditioning plants, preparation of estimates andtender papers and supervision over the work, design and drawing relating to work;supervision over the junior members of staff.

4. The posts carry all India transfer liability. Allowances such as D.A./H.R.A/Transportallowance are admissible as applicable under the rules.

5. The appointees of Curator B shall be covered under the Flexible ComplimentingScheme for promotion after successful completion of requisite number of years ofservice to higher scales of pay up to Rs 37400-67000/- with Grade Pay Rs 10000/-.
