QSC’s AcousticDesign™ surface mount loudspeakers are professional, two-way, full-range systems for cinema surround applications. Ease-of-installation is the driving principle behind QSC’s next generation of small format, surface mount loudspeakers.

For immersive sound surround formats requiring special aiming practices, AD-S loudspeakers offer extreme flexibility for optimizing surround sound coverage for any cinema surround format. They can easily be mounted to any weight bearing, flat surface allowing the loudspeaker to be deployed in horizontal or vertical orientation. Pan and tilt aiming for front and rear mounted surrounds is a simple adjustment using the included X-Mount™ hardware, which enables the installer to simply lift the loudspeaker onto the mount and lock it into place. The loudspeaker can then be adjusted for pan and tilt and locked in place in 7.5 degree increments. Knurled surfaces on the mount’s pivot points ensure that the loudspeaker aiming angle stays fixed and will not slip over time. No special tools are required to install or adjust the loudspeaker angle. AD-S8T, AD-S10T and AD-S12 models feature M10 mounting points for suspension via eye-bolts as well as mounting points for a yoke bracket for downward-firing ceiling mount applications. A seismic mount is provided on the rear of the enclosure. Screw-down, Euro-block connectors allow pre-wiring of the system.

The uniform power-response of this loudspeaker is a result of DMT™ (Directivity Matched Transition), a design approach that matches LF and HF coverage in the crossover region. Another key to the extraordinary accuracy and flat power response of the AcousticDesign loudspeakers is the axisymmetric waveguide which provides uncompromised performance in both the vertical and horizontal axes. The 36mm (1.4 in) diaphragm, 25mm (1 in) exit compression driver on the AD-S8T, AD-S10T and AD-S12 delivers crisp, detailed high-frequency reproduction and when combined with the matched woofers, provides full bandwidth reproduction. The AD-S8T uses an 8" woofer, while the AD-S10T has a 10" woofer, and the AD-S12 has a 12" woofer.Housed in rugged ABS enclosures for long-term durability, the AcousticDesign series present a clean, unobtrusive look, and AD-S grilles are unadorned eliminating the need to cover obtrusive logo treatments. AD-S loudspeakers are available in either black (RAL 9011) or white (RAL 9010) and may be painted to match any décor.

To minimize impact and disposal fees at the job site, all AD-S loudspeakers are packaged in environmentally friendly, recyclable cartons.

The new immersive sound surround formats place greater performance demands on surround loudspeakers in terms of frequency response, output capability, and mounting flexibility. QSC’s AcousticPerformance™ series loudspeakers meet these challenges with headroom to spare.

The AP-5102 Acoustic Performance Cinema Surround Loudspeaker features a high power-capacity, 3" (76mm) diaphragm compression driver and a 10" (254mm) woofer to deliver exceptional full bandwidth reproduction.

The uniform power-response of this loudspeaker is a result of DMT™ (Directivity Matched Transition), a design approach that matches LF and HF coverage in the crossover region. Another key to the extraordinary accuracy and flat power response of the AP-5102 is the axisymmetric waveguide which provides uncompromised performance in both the vertical and horizontal axes. The AP-5102 provides coverage over an extremely wide 105° angle, ideal for applications where you need to cover a large seating area in a room with low ceiling height.

The AP-5102 may be used as a passive (full-range) loudspeaker to minimize amplifier channel count or it may be bi-amplified for greater control and performance. To further enhance performance, bi-amp and full-range tunings using QSC Intrinsic Correction techniques are available for Q-Sys and future QSC products.

The AP-5102 enclosure features M10 mounting points for suspension via eye-bolts as well as mount points for an optional yoke bracket.

The SR-1020 Cinema Surround Loudspeaker features a high-power, long-throw 10" low-frequency transducer coupled with a 1.4" titanium diaphragm compression driver. The system’s MDF enclosure features a 15° down angle baffle and easily accessible terminals on the top of the enclosure. The 300 watt continuous power rating and sophisticated crossover with protection circuitry provides absolute reliability.

The uniform power-response of this loudspeaker is a result of DMT™ (Directivity Matched Transition), a design approach that matches LF and HF coverage in the crossover region.
