Acts 2 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accordone accord in one place.

They were there for a common purpose; one goal and one desire.

WaitingWaiting for the coming of the Holy Spirit, as Jesus had commandedcommanded them to do.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

Imagine the winds of a hurricanehurricane blowing in a house -- no movement, just the soundsound.

The sound filled the house, not just the upper room.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filledfilled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under Heaven.

(TLB) 5 Many godly Jews were in Jerusalem that day for the religious celebrations, having arrived from many nations.

This holiday followed the PassoverPassover by fifty days.

It was a feast of thanksgivingthanksgiving for God's blessings in the harvest.

6 Now when this was noised abroadnoised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own languagehis own language. 7 And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans?

Why did the multitude gather?

A miraculous and dramatic eventevent had just occurred.

People ranran out of the house talkingtalking about it.

Come just as you are; God will help you become all that you ought to be.

Don't waste the opportunities you have to noise it abroadnoise it abroad that God is moving.

That's not natural; that's supernatural.

We serve a supernatural God.God can take a ruined liferuined life, and

make a successsuccess out of it.

God will forgiveforgive every sin.

He will wash away your sin in the Blood of JesusBlood of Jesus.

God will remove the feelings of guiltthe feelings of guilt from your mind and heart.

God established this established this church church over 50 years ago.

He did not begin this only to let it fizzle outfizzle out.

God is movingGod is moving in our midst; He is changingchanging heartshearts and mindsminds and liveslives for the good.

Let's be zealous to do alldo all that God has called and gifted us to.

Let's workLet's work until Jesus comes.
