The instructions below are to be used as a guide for implementing the activity. If there are photos,
instruction sheets, worksheets, etc. there is a note "See additional materials ". These materials are
located at the end of the activity. The "Time " column gives the estimated duration of each step of
the activity.
ACTIVITY INSTRUCTIONS
Parents/Teachers hand out 5 pieces of paper to each participant and 1 pair of
scissors to each pair of participants
The leader walks the participants through each origami project, modeling how to
do it, while the parents/teachers go around and help struggling participants. (See
Additional Materials)
TIP: Some projects call for a square piece of paper. To make a square, take one
corner and bring it towards the opposite corner until the side edges meet,
making a triangle shape. Cut off the excess paper (a rectangle) and unfold the
paper.
