ACTIVITY STAFF LISTACTIVITY SUPPLY LISTThe supply list includes all necessary items needed for the activity. The activity

supplies are for a group of 10 participants. Add or subtract supplies depending

on size of group.

This list specifys what kind of staff might be helpful in the implementation of the

activity. Include knowledgeable people (specialist) that may be helpful for the

implementation of the activity. For Example: If you are doing an eco activity about

the function of plant roots, the biology teacher or local forest ranger would be a

great resource to come and help.

The instructions below are to be used as a guide for implementing the activity. If there are photos,

instruction sheets, worksheets, etc. there is a note "See additional materials ". These materials are

located at the end of the activity. The "Time " column gives the estimated duration of each step of

the activity.

ACTIVITY INSTRUCTIONS

Parents/Teachers hand out 5 pieces of paper to each participant and 1 pair of

scissors to each pair of participants

The leader walks the participants through each origami project, modeling how to

do it, while the parents/teachers go around and help struggling participants. (See

Additional Materials)

TIP: Some projects call for a square piece of paper. To make a square, take one

corner and bring it towards the opposite corner until the side edges meet,

making a triangle shape. Cut off the excess paper (a rectangle) and unfold the

paper.

ACTIVITY DISCUSSION QUESTIONSThe discussion questions below are intended to engage leaders and participants to further

discuss the lessons learned from the activity. The aim in providing discussion questions is

to enhance the participant experience.

Origami is an art form from Japan. What forms of art do we have in Bulgaria?

Some of the origami shapes have special meaning to people in Japan. What shapes could we

make that would have meaning in Bulgaria?

What other forms of art from other countries do you know about? Are they similar or

different to ours? How?
