Active world tray and stand Ways you can use this resource to promote early literacy through play in your library Ideal for indoor library use or outdoor outreach and events. When you’re talking about all the things you use on the tray, introduce new language to describe items in terms of shades of colour, shape, size and texture, e.g. longer, bigger, light blue, dark blue, curved, spikey, cold, slimy. Story retelling: e.g. set up Three Little Pigs display with household items like empty boxes to promote low cost and no cost ideas for families.
