Welcome to the Clackmannanshire Council Active Summer Youth, Sport and Activity Programme in partnership with Sports Development, Youth Services, Resonate Arts House and various local sports clubs. There are activities for various tastes in sport, physical activity and arts aimed at pre-school, primary aged children , young people with a disability and teenagers. As we head towards the 2016 Rio Olympics we are branding some of our activities "Road to Rio", some schools have been working on this already and looking towards the high class performances in South America from the opening ceremony on Friday 5th August 2016 to the closing ceremony on Saturday 21st August 2016 for more information go to; www.rio2016.com Unless otherwise stated all bookings and payments are made by calling Clackmannanshire Council on 01259 213131. Kenny Cook will manage a running club every Thursday evening. The club will help participants train for the Stirling 10k, Glasgow Half Marathon, or just get in good shape for the summer. Lornshill track and a feature of the club will be a 'Who Can Get Closest to Mo?' A competition to see who can get closest to Mo Farah's 5k and 10k time splits in the lead up to Rio 2016.

Take part in these introductory Paddle Power sessions which are open to new paddlers or those looking for more confidence in the water. Kayaks, life jackets, helmets are provided. Only 6 places are available per session. Additional opportunities will be offered to those who wish to progress further during August and September followed by blocks of pool sessions at Denny High School over the winter months.
