• Acting is responding to stimuli in imaginary circumstances in a dynamic manner that is stylistically true to time and place, so as to communicate ideas and emotions to an audience.
• Listening IS acting: the most important ability for and actor is listening. Listening involves all the senses: touch, feel, sight, sound, smell, intuitive and emotional, and experience of the past.
