Origin of Christianity
Christians believes that Jesus Christ (who is God) came to earth as man, died on the cross for us as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins
He then resurrected (come alive) so that man can once again be a child of God.

The Christian holy book is the Bible. It is divided into the Old and New Testaments.
The Old Testament is the Jewish Holy Text that speaks of God and the rise and fall of the Jewish Nation
The New Testament explains how God sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to restore the broken relationship between people and God and the work of the early churches.
Most of the New Testament consist of letters from the first group of Christian leaders to the churches all over Asia.

Church services often include carol singing - these are happy songs which tell the Christmas story.
