S A C R E D H E A R T S A C A D EM YANNUAL REPORT OF GIV ING 2013 TO 2014

This Annual Report of Giving is

prepared by the Development

Office of Sacred Hearts Academy

in recognition of the generous

support from alumnae, parents,

grandparents, students, faculty,

staff and friends.

This report includes all gifts

received from August 1, 2013 to

July 31, 2014. Every effort has

been made to ensure the accura-

cy and completeness for the

2013 to 2014 fiscal year.

If you note any errors or omis-

sions, please accept our apology

and notify Development Director

Andrea Hamilton at (808) 734-

5058, ext. 229, or

[email protected].

THE MISSION

The Academy is committed to educate young women to:

■ Commit to God’s compassionate love revealed inthe hearts of Jesus and Mary;

■ Take responsibility for their own lives;

■ Contribute positively to the world around them;

■ Value life-long learning.

>Anna Pinkerton

M E S S A G E F R O M THE A D M I N I S T R A T I O N, B O A R D A N D S I S T E R S

In recent years, the most noticeable developments at the Academy have revolved around “renovatingand revitalizing” parts of campus. New facilities have sprung up, older ones have been gutted and refabricat-ed, and the campus today is vastly different from that of 50, 20 or even 10 years ago.

Yet, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Despite the visual changes, the schoolremains dedicated to the enduring commitment to education that has been a hallmark established over acentury ago. It is, indeed, with pride that we have been able to build upon the vision of the founding Sistersand continue to make the Academy experience available and meaningful to Hawai’i’s young women.

At the Academy, we are proud of our rich traditions and realize that we are only able to build on andcontinue this noble work with the continued support of our alumnae, families and community partners.

Reflecting on our blessings, we are humbled by your support. No matter how big or how small, eachand every gift – whether monetary, or simply the gift of volunteerism and time – make a lasting impact.

And, while the new facilities and renovations are impressive and necessary, perhaps, most importantly,your gifts allowed us to continue to offer scholarship assistance to those who would, otherwise, not be ableto afford an Academy education. For these students and their families, the school has been a source of sta-bility and strength.

With all this in mind, we sincerely thank you for your generous support during the past fiscal year thatended on July 31, 2014, and we are extremely grateful you included the Academy on your giving list. Wehope to continue to change as society morphs and adapts, while keeping much the same for many years tocome!

With fond gratitude and aloha,

Betty White Terence Enriques Sr. Regina Mary Jenkins, SS.CC.Head of School Chair, Board of Directors Provincial

Ways To Give

A gift to Sacred Hearts supports the Academy’s mission of educating young women to be compassionate,competent and confident. Each gift is sincerely appreciated. Donors may select from a variety of ways to makea charitable gift to Sacred Hearts.

Outright GiftsOutright gifts of cash, securities, personal property or life insurance provide a valuable resource which the

Academy uses to support and enhance programs, maintain and improve facilities, provide professional devel-opment for faculty and scholarships for students.

Real EstateThe Academy welcomes gifts of real estate transferred during a lifetime or by will.

Planned GivingThe Academy encourages donors to explore the possibilities and opportunities for creative gift planning.

The Academy can assist donors in a variety of gift considerations to meet their individual needs.

Matching GiftsMany companies offer matching gifts to an employee’s

charitable contributions. This benefit can double an employee’s gift to the Academy. Inquire whether your employer has such a program and obtain the proper forms to forward to Sacred Hearts.

The Development Officeis happy to assist in gift considerations. Please contact Andrea Hamilton in the Development Office at (808) 734-5058, ext. 229, or [email protected] more informationabout giving.
